Sudden Attraction

“Mom, James is coming home for the summer!” Kim was waving her letter in the air as she ran into the kitchen. Her mother simply smiled while her father nodded from behind his paper. “That’s nice dear!” She had to be the most excited out of the three of them. James and Kim had been best friends, but while she had stayed at home to go to university he had gone abroad to study. His parents could afford to send him off but Kim coming from her slightly less well off background couldn’t, she had to settle for the home life.

She was really looking forward to seeing him again. She hadn’t seen him since she started her second year of collage, when he had gone to start his first year of Uni but now after his second year had ended for the summer and her first year of Uni was over; they would get to see each other again. This was a very good prospect for a great summer. James would be staying back at his parent’s house for a while, but they had converted his room into a study so he had been told he could set up in the loft. He had in his letter asked her to meet him at the station. She was going to be quite happy to.

The station was just outside of town and she drove out to pick him up, she had gotten her licence when he was away so he had never known. They wrote to each other occasionally but she was all ways thinking of him, she missed him when she was lonely. The train couldn’t have been at the ...
