CeC [kehk] n. Secular pronunciation of the abbreviation "Cloning-enhanced Creature." Cloning resulted in legal and philosophical conflict over whether a copy had the same rights as an original. Slavery, [censored], animal cruelty, and human rights abuses were all called into question. In order to avoid corporate liability, diminished customer confidence, and loss of product value, the process was developed to manufacture entirely new creatures without copying an old one, thus avoiding legal issues related to naturally created organisms. CeCs (male: CeCa, female: CeCi) are disposable merchandise, and nobody really thinks anything of it, least of all the CeCs. CeCs are generally used in service industries, while creative & talent-influenced industries (like construction, design, management) are left for humans.
