I was stranded in Amsterdam and all my money was stolen. Snatched by vendors that deal in powerful [censored] and promiscuous sex. How could a twenty-four year old man say no to such alluring merchandise? He simply cannot, and that is why I say my money was ‘stolen' rather than spent.

I came to Amsterdam from Germany. My family owns a home on the outskirts of Düsseldorf where I spend most of my vacation time, although my primary residence is in the US. This would be my first trip to Amsterdam. In the US, Amsterdam is a place of legend. Open weed-policy, prostitution, gambling- the works. I knew it was a city that would sling your vice is you could pay the price. After three days of frequenting as many dope bars, bar bars, and prostitutes as I could physically and fiscally manage I ‘slept it off' only to wake up and find myself completely broke and without a means of transportation home.
