Glory Days Memories of a Missionary Part One of Four

I was eighteen I had just graduated from high school, and very soon would be leaving home to start my mission for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I was raised Mormon and being gay was never part of my plans. I always knew I was gay; being gay became a secret that I covered up very well... and so this is where it began.

I considered myself an attractive young man. I was 6ft 2in tall; I would say I had a medium frame. I weighed in between 165 to 170 tops. I was very active I liked to run every morning; I have dark brown hair, and deep green eyes. I am not a narcissus so I am not in love with myself well maybe I am just a little bit.

The day came for me to leave on my mission I said my goodbyes to Mom and Dad, as well as my younger siblings and to the girl I would wed, upon coming home from my mission. This is the Mormons path we grow up we go on a mission we come home, we go to college, and we marry another Mormon and prepare to have a family. My Life expected to follow that route with no detours allowed. We must stay the course, or we are not worthy for the after life It is expected from birth.
