Saving the trust fund.

From the moment Paula and I met at a concert just after our sixteenth birthday, I guess we knew instantly there was something there. Okay at first it was all about our beloved pop group, but we thought about things the same way, we liked the same things, and within five minutes of talking to her, I felt like I had known her all my life.

Paula just struck me as the happy go lucky sort of girl, someone who didn't follow the in "crowd", a person that was happy just to do her own thing. And I guess I liked that. For the next couple of weeks Paula and I talked on the phone constantly, and then suddenly Paula managed to invite herself over to my place.

Spending the day with me and my family, Paula seemed at ease with everyone and loved the easy going nature or my parents. Heading into my bedroom Paula finally admitted that she didn't see me as boyfriend material, but more like a soul mate, I guess I had hoped that something would have happened between us but it didn't bother me if it didn't.

Inviting me over to her place the following day, I happily agreed then arranged to meet Paula at the bus stop at her end. Stepping off the bus, I watched Paula smile then step up and take my hand, it was obvious that she had something on her mind.
