It was a confusing night, this being L's leaving the company bash.

We were at Liberty's as it was handy from work. L and various others were booked into the Strathallan for convenience, and a late drink.

L was drinking G&T's, which she can handle quite a few of, and was being by turns, discreet, and very flirtatious with me.

It's not like anything had happened apart from one snog and some declarations of some sort of platonic love (both ways) made after much wine.

A few of us left Liberty's for the Strath, and she ordered sandwiches for those of us sitting in the reception/bar area. They took quite a long time to arrive, and all but L, I and a chap had departed for bed. The three of us ate the sandwiches, I said something derogatory about account managers, for which L told me off.

We all took to the lift and she and I were on the same floor, the other guy got out earlier. I walked her to her room, and we hesitated outside, I kissed her goodnight but then asked if she wanted me to come in. She said she didn't know, smiling.

"Dunno if it's safe" she said.
