"Okay. Now remember everything we discussed?" Juls said to Chrissi as they pulled up to the curb outside of the attorney's office.

"Of course, I remember. Don't be obtuse woman," Chrissi replied iritably. Chrissi just wanted to sign the divorce papers and have everything done with. The past 3 days had been strenuous on both Letti, and her kids. Thinking back to the day she arrived at home to gather up a few things, Ben started a gruesome confrontation that ended with him being arrested and Chrissi and Juls taking her kids, and what few belongings she wanted to take with her back to St. Louis. "Why can't he ever just be calm about anything? What can ever possess someone to be so selfish," Chrissi thought to herself, and zoned out the things Juls was saying to her.

"Hello? Are you with me?" Juls poked Chrissi in the arm impatiently.

"Stay focused on the important things here, please."

"Shut up, woman. You're so demanding," Chrissi replied jokingly, and smiled innocently at Juls.

Juls smiled back, gave Chrissi a kiss on the cheek, then opened the car door and stood outside the car waiting for Chrissi to walk inside of the attorney's building.
