As soon as I see her I straighten my back, push out my chest, draw in my stomach and push out my butt. It dawns on me that I do this every time my eyes land on a girl. Well, a girl such as this one anyhow. This girl has my heart beating a little faster, even at first glance.

She is petite; I guess around five two, thick but short blond curls framing her face. Her nose is small and turned up above lips that are understated by the covering of lip gloss. Her eyes, although showing signs of boredom right now, still sparkle blue in the bright lights of the bar.

I use this bar regularly but I didn't see her before and I know that I would not have missed her, whatever was going on.

She seems to be attached to a group that appears to be ignoring her; how could they, is there a chance for me, shall I move closer?

It takes a few minutes before I catch her eye across the crowded bar, I smile warmly, she looks up at the person beside her, almost as if looking for permission to smile back. Her teeth are no less perfect than I could have imagined they would be as she reveals them in a dazzling smile.
