It had been several days since his encounter with Christina and he still felt a stirring of lust whenever he thought of that night. He was home from work and was wondering if he should call her. About the time he decided he was going to call her the phone rang.

When he picked up the phone it was Christina. She wanted to come over and he of course agreed. He hoped it would lead where it had last time. He tidied up his apartment and sprayed some mild air freshener.

She showed up twenty minutes later wearing jeans and a t-shirt. Her short red hair had a slight curl to it and the smell of flowers came from her perfume. It reminded him of their night together.

He invited her in and they went and sat on the couch. She turned to him earnestly looked him in the eyes. "About the other night," she began.

Here it comes, thought. Here is where I get the friend speech. He tried to brace himself, but was surprised at what followed.

"It was special and wonderful. I hadn't felt like that in a long time. But I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I'm not looking for a relationship right now."
