It's good to be back home, Mike Camozzi thought with relief as he sat in the front passenger seat of Michelle Robinson's car. He had just arrived from Iraq, and his beloved Michelle had greeted him when his unit had returned to its base at Camp Pendleton, California. It had been quite an emotional roller-coaster ride for him, after a very long flight from Kuwait, to arrive to southern California, and be greeted by Michelle. He remembered the first time he had seen her in a long time: a young lady that had spent all past months beset by worry. The kiss they exchanged when they were reunited after the welcoming ceremony was just for them, all the people around them seeming to become an unrecognizable blur. He had missed her terribly during his deployment, and only during his missions was he able to completely obliterate her from his mind. And now, with the ceremony finished, Michelle was driving along California's spectacular coastline. Mike had planned to take Michelle to his quarters, but that was not to be, as Michelle drove northward.

"Where are you taking me?" Mike had asked her.

"Cindy's uncle owns this seaside home, and he has given her the keys for a week... and she has given them to me for the weekend," Michelle explained.

Mike smiled at the mention of Cindy's name. He recalled that evening when he had met Michelle's roommate for the first time. It was halfway ...
