I was just cleaning up in the garage when the phone rang, it was my friend Robert and he wanted to know if I could come by his house to see why his bike would not start. I asked a few questions about what it was doing and or not doing just to figure out what tools I would need. Robert has some basic tools and even a lift in his garage but not much test equipment and especially when it comes to electrical. I have found that to be pretty common among my friends. They would tear into things mechanical but were hesitant about wiring. Not surprising as electrical parts are expensive and easy to ruin if everything is just not right. That is also one of the reasons why many motorcycle shops will not warranty or take back electrical parts especially if they have been installed.

I asked if he needed me to stop and pick up beer or anything and he let me know he had stopped on the way home from work, he added Rosy treated me real good last night and I figured since the weather has been so nice I would take her for a ride tonight.
