Charlie woke up and felt the bed next to her. She was disappointed it was empty but she felt the heat from his body so he hadn't been gone long. She sat up and stretched, yawning, her body a little sore from the previous day spent at Summerfest - one of the country's biggest music festivals - and the sex afterwards. She stretched. She could hear him in the kitchen as she grabbed a flannel robe from his closet and slipped it on. It still smelled of his manly cologne. She inhaled its fresh, light scent before leaving the bedroom to look for him.

He was in the kitchen busy working at the stove, concocting something that smelled delicious.

"I hope it tastes as good as it smells."
