The killer had his eye on a new girl. He first encountered her at the Wendy's on 46th and North Avenue a week ago after he killed Aisha Johnson. He often stopped there to pick up something for dinner on the way home from work because younger girls liked to hang out there after school. She was there with two other girls, the prettiest of the bunch.

He didn't know why he was attracted to girls with long braids. It was something about those long locks that flowed down their narrow backs like a waterfall and were flicked off their shoulders with a teasing flirtatious gesture. This one was about eleven or twelve years old with exotic amber eyes that looked almost Asian. She was dressed in her school uniform - a royal blue polo shirt and navy pants. Her sneakers were the only thing unique about her outfit, high tops in a pretty navy floral print that matched her uniform. She wore sparkling royal blue crystal stud earrings in her pierced ears. He recognized the uniform from Hi Mount Community School.

He tried not to stare but it wasn't easy. She was so fresh, so beautiful, her giggle like the tinkling of bells. Compared to her, her friends were plain, dull looking. ...
