Cerise had gotten up early in expectation of her soldier husband Alex returning after six months, six long, lonely frustrating months away. During that time, his platoon, small in number that they were, had, among others, supported UN peacekeeping troops, distributed aid to trained medical staff and food supplies to the needy.
