Well, well, well... We have another person that agreed to give up some of his time to answer the 50 or so questions we have for him.  Jake currently has 35 stories posted on the site, in addition to being one of the few authors that has his name on both of the Top Author’s lists.

Tell us about you:

Question: First tell us something about yourself, like name, age, and some other things we would like to know about you...Let’s call it a short bio.

Jake: I’m single and live in the Northeastern US and I just turned thirty-five.  I’m single and live alone and I do have a day job that’s got nothing to do with writing or creativity.  I’ve been writing since high school and been writing erotica for well over ten years now.

Question: What are you wearing right now?

Jake:  I wish I had a better answer, but shorts and a blue t-shirt.

Question: Does your spouse or significant other know you write, and if so, what does he/she think?

Jake: I just started seeing someone and I did tell her last week, but I didn’t really get into the extent of it.  She wants to read something I wrote, so I am trying to figure out what to show her.

Question: Is it difficult for you to keep your writing life separate from your professional life?

Jake: No, the two never cross, except that sometimes working is what gives me the time to write.

Question: How did you come up with your ES nickname?

Jake:  It’s a nickname my brother called me, which ironically I never particularly liked.

Question:  What brought you to EroticStories.com?  What made you want to stay and become a part of it?

Jake:  I came because I like reading erotic stories and then I started posting here after another site I posted to went under.  Mostly I stayed because I like to read the stories and I keep posting because I enjoy receiving comments from my readers and ES has a vocal readership.

Question:  What is your favorite part of your body?  Why?

Jake:  My eyes, because they are my best feature.

Question:  If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be and why?

Jake:  I’d be more confident about approaching women, wouldn’t let the fear of rejection hold me back.

Question:  Boxers vs Briefs? / Panties vs Thong?

Jake:  Boxers, if I think someone is going to be seeing them.  And to be honest, I really prefer panties over a thong.  The thong isn’t flattering to most women, whereas a sexy, lacy pair of panties is hot as hell.

Writing Habits:

Question: What do you like the most about writing erotic stories?

Jake:  It gives me a chance to stretch my imagination and really play out the fantasies that pop up in my head.  I really like getting into the minds of people and see how they might react to an extreme situation.  Sometimes the people in my stories and pretty real to me by the time I finish writing about them.  I think my best stories are the ones where I made the characters the most real.

Question: How long have you been writing now?  How did it all get started and what made you write your first story?

Jake:  As I said, I’ve been writing and posting erotic stories well over ten years now, but I wrote my first ones way back in high school.  I believe the first erotic stories I ever wrote were fantasies about a girl who lived two doors down and whom I had a crush on.  I’d been sneaking away my mother’s hidden stash of porn novels (the kind written in the 70’s) for a bit and I loved reading them, so I thought I should try my hand at it.  Those stories made me hot, so I thought I was writing something good.  I think that very first one was about me seducing her in a pool.   She used to have this hot pink one-piece with a zipper down the front.  Later I started writing stories for girls I dated and it really took off from there.

Question: Which of your stories is your personal favorite, the one you enjoyed writing the most, and/or the one holds the best memories or feelings for you?

Jake:  I think Truth or Treat is probably my favorite.  The characters in that, especially Andrea Donovan, came alive for me, also certain parts of The Exploitation of Lindsay Cooper.  The Swinger’s Journals stories are some of my favorites too.  Wheel of Orgasm and The Dare are based on things I actually did, so those hold some interesting memories.

Question:  Have you ever gotten so turned on while writing that you had to stop to masturbate?  What story was it?

Jake:  Truth or Treat definitely did it, as did the first story of Swinger’s Journals.  Recently, Wild Wednesday got me pretty turned on.

Question: Do you write from fantasy or true stories?  Or a combination of both?  Please explain or give an example.

Jake:  Early on a lot of my stories were based on things I did, but it’s been a long time since that.  Just about everything is based on some sort of fantasy, but sometimes I spin ideas out of really simple things.  I am writing a story now about a wife who ends up doing sexual things for her husband for access to the credit cards.  I got that idea from Dr. Phil.  But sometimes it’s as simple as a feeling I might get about some woman I saw at the supermarket.

Question: Are the characters in your story based on real people, did you make them up, or are they a combination of both?

Jake:  Most of my female characters have had some basis in a person I knew, certainly physically and usually with personality traits, or a situation I heard about.  Some characters are completely out of my head, but I like basing at least part of some characters in real people.

Question: What parts of "Yourself" do you put into your characters?

Jake:  Sometimes what people are feeling in a threesome or a swapping situation.  A lot of my characters seem to be around my age and near my stage in life.

Question: If there was one trait you could take from one of your characters in your stories, and put it in place in your real life, what would it be and why?

Jake:  I’m not even sure how to answer this one.

Question: How long does it take for you to write a complete story? How does the process go?

Jake:  Wow, it can take a long time depending on how much time I get to write.  If I sat down and wrote straight through I bet I could write a somewhat long story in a day, but usually I write a few pages here, a few pages there.  It’s hard for me to get a several hour block to do nothing but write.  I usually start with an idea, sometimes it’s just a situation or a woman, or just a sex scene.  I have to have a title before I write, even if I change it later.  And lately I’ve been putting synopsis of characters up front since I do write in a segmented way.

Question: How do you come up with your story titles?

Jake:  That’s become harder and harder.  There really is no process.  I just stare into space until something comes to me.  Sometimes I ask for help.

Question: What is the hardest part of writing a story?

Jake:  Oddly, the ending.  I know who I want the characters to be and I know the situation I want to put them in, but frequently I haven’t thought too much about what comes next and how it all ties up.

Question: Have you ever done research for a part of a story you didn’t have any knowledge about or maybe for a sex scene?

Jake:  Early on I asked some women how sex felt for them, asked what it was like to get oral from someone with a tongue piercing, that sort of thing.  And I visited a swinger’s club largely for research purposes.

Question: Do you have any secret stories you don’t want to publish for the public?  Do you publish your stories on other sites besides EroticStories.com and if so, why?  Have you ever been published on paper?

Jake:  Yes, I do publish on other sites.  I publish on my website, jakeswonderland.com, first, then ES and then Literotica.com.  I’ve got a story, translated into Hebrew, on an Israeli erotic story site.  There are some stories I’ve pulled over the years, for varying reasons, like once a couple I know recognized themselves and were offended, so I yanked it.  But I never write a story without planning to post it somewhere.  I have been published on paper.

Question: When you receive negative comments do you just ignore them, build from them, or let it put a negative image over the story itself, and let it hinder your writing?

Jake:  Depends on the comments and if I see anything valid in them.  People who trash an adultery stories just because they don’t like the genre annoy me.  If you don’t like stories where the cheating wife doesn’t die of AIDS, then don’t read it.  Sometimes I’ve recognized that I’ve gone over the top and some people do call me on it when I haven’t put as much effort into a story as I normally would.

Reading Habits:

Question: Do you also enjoy reading erotic stories?  Which categories do you enjoy the most?  Do you like true stories or fantasies?

Jake:  I definitely enjoy reading erotic stories.  It’s my favorite form of porn, actually.  I was a reader long before I was a writer.  Started reading those 70’s porn novels and then moved onto Penthouse Forum and Penthouse Letters.  I like a hint of the forbidden in stories I read, so I think I gravitate toward Adultery or swapping stories.  Threesome stories, anything where there may be that hint of danger or people acting out of the ordinary.  I don’t think it matters whether it’s true or a fantasy as long as it’s well written.  Besides, I think at least half the "true stories" here aren’t.

Question: Do you vote on other author's stories? How do you decide what score to give when you do?

Jake:  If I particularly liked it I do.  I don’t feel the need to give anyone a low rating.  I look for a good premise, developed characters and good writing.  Not typo-free (cause Lord knows I have ‘em), but nothing with so many grammatical errors that it’s unreadable.

Question: Do you send other author’s comments or feedback on their stories?

Jake:  Sometimes.

Question: Do you have a favorite author on ES?  What makes them your favorite?

Jake:  I don’t think I have a single favorite, but I have some favorites.  I like JenniferO’s early stuff.  Stormbringer is very good.  I loved DamonX’s Jessica stories.  Greymouse was great, it’s a shame she stopped posting.  KK is great and writes in my favorite genre.  Amyscute2000 at Literotica is very good as well.  No offense to anyone I didn’t mention.  I’ve enjoyed hundreds of stories here over the years.

Question:  When you read a story do you:  A. Touch yourself and come around the same time one of the characters do?  B. Touch yourself but wait for the end to come? C. Touch yourself but wait until after you finish the story to come, such as after going to bed? D. Not touch yourself until you are finished and then continue thinking about the story and come?  E. Any other variation you may do? (please tell us what it is)

Jake:  I touch myself while I’m reading and finish whenever I finish.  But I’ll admit it’s hard to appreciate the writing that way.  Sometimes I will go back and reread it if I think I missed something.

Sex Habits:

Question: Do you enjoy the visual side of erotica, as in porn movies or pictures? If so, any favorites?

Jake:  I like visual porn, but I think I prefer softcore stuff.  I don’t need a close up of a pussy getting slammed.  There’s nothing hot about that.  But I do love watching a pretty girl give oral.  Kaylynn gives great oral.  Holly Hollywood, Sunrise Adams, and April Flowers are some of my favorites.  In softcore, anything with Tracy Ryan/Tracy Smith/Avalon.  She is just amazing.  Also Beverly Lynne is very cute.  I do work for a Mr. Skin type website, Nitrovideo.com, so I know a lot about softcore stars.

Question:  Do you remember the first pornography you ever saw?  Tell us about it?

Jake:  It was probably Taboo, because my parents had that.  Also old Playboys.  When I was in high school a friend’s parents had like a closet of wall to wall porn and The Pleasure Hunt is something that’s always stuck with me.  Always wanted to write my own variation on it.

Question:  Have you ever participated in erotic photography?  If so, please tell us about it.  If not, would you rather be the photographed or the photographer?

Jake:  Definitely the photographer and I’ve taken pictures of a few girlfriends.  Most recent was a couple years ago, she was really pretty, had a great body.  I even convinced her to post some on an amateur site, after I blurred her face, of course.

Question:  What do you wear to bed?

Jake:  Not a thing.

Question: Do your sex life and writing have any correlation with each other??

Jake:  Funny, but I find I write less when I’m getting laid on a regular basis.

Question: How would you rate your willingness to try new things in bed?

Jake:  Very high.

Question: What’s the kinkiest thing you have done in your life?

Jake:  Tried just about everything but gay sex and oddly, anal.  Just never had a g/f willing to go there.  The threesomes were very exciting, but gave me a really odd feeling.  Tying a woman down is probably my favorite thing.

Question: Do you have any fantasies that you would like to fulfil?

Jake:  Not much I haven’t done.

Question: What is your opinion about sex toys? Do you have any toys yourself and if so, do you like to use them?

Jake:  Don’t use them on myself, but I love to use them on a woman.

Question: What do you think about solo sex?

Jake:  I think it’s sort of odd not to do it.  I know I shouldn’t judge, but my opinion is someone who doesn’t do is a little repressed.

Question: What are your favourite and least favourite positions?

Jake:  Favorite is girl on top, because I like to watch.  Least favorite is anything painful.

Question: Do you believe in one-night stands?

Jake:  Like do I believe in ghosts? :-)   It’s okay if that’s what you’re into, but that’s not really me.

Question: What makes someone sexy to you?

Jake:  Got to have the attitude.  You could be really hot looking and just exude no sex.  Jessica Simpson is kind of like that to me.  There’s got to be that willingness to let go and open up.  And there’s the physical part too.

Question: What is a major turn on for you during sex?

Jake:  A responsive partner.

Question: What is a major turn off for you during sex?

Jake:  Someone who gets all cutesy about it or seems repressed or doesn’t react much.

Question: Sextalk. Do you like or dislike talking during sex?

Jake:  Depends on the person I’m with.  Some people are laughably bad at it and I’ve had a couple people tell me to stop.

Question: In bed or on the kitchen table?

Jake:  Does it have to be either or?

Question: What is your favorite or most memorable moment in bed?

Jake:  Two memorable ones.  More recent was when someone I was seeing came over for Valentine’s Day in the middle of the day.  We were just meeting for lunch.  She wore knee-high boots and a short, tight skirt, a tight fitted top and her hair was all done up and her makeup.  I pushed her against the wall, hooked her leg over my shoulder and went down on her.  Then sat her on the edge of the couch, fooled around, she went down on me, then I spun her around, bent her over the arm of the couch and took her.  We did it a few more times and I never made it back to work.  The other time that really sticks out in my mind, for the feelings it stirred up, was when I was having my second threesome.  It was me, my girlfriend and my best friend.  We were in his dorm room (think the ’92 Super Bowl was on) and we’d all fooled around and then took a short breather.  She went over to him and then started kissing, fooling around and then 69’ing.  That was the first time I really purely watched and I had these weird, conflicting feelings…turned on, jealous, stomach churning, but the whole thing was a heady cocktail.  I wrote a story about it.

And Last but not least...

Question:  You are on the "Top 100 best scoring authors with more than 5 stories online, and an average vote higher than 9.0" and the "Top 100 favourite authors" lists.  How does it feel to know you have 155 people that have added you to their favorite lists and have an average vote for all of your stories of 9.07?

Jake:  I am incredibly flattered.  I love knowing that something I wrote can get someone off.  I am glad other people can share my fantasies and I especially like the idea of getting women off with just my words.  Used to be one of the major reasons I was into phone sex.

Question: There are a couple of "Jake and ----" author names on the site. Is this Jake you? How did it feel to co-write a story with someone? Was it easy or hard?

Jake:  The Jake & "Janet" stories were basically a woman I knew who was telling me the stories of what she was doing running around behind her husband’s back. She told me what she did, I extracted as much detail as I possibly could and then I wrote the story. I knew this person in real life, and I knew other people she knew, so I knew they were at least mostly true. The Jake & "Holly" story is about a true event. I sort of "interviewed" her after the fact and wrote the story, and then she read it and asked me to change certain things. Coincidentally, this is the same woman who did the Valentine’s Day thing I mentioned before. I’ve never written a truly collaborative piece, though I have tossed ideas back and forth in the past.

Question: Is there anybody on this site, who you would like to see interviewed? Why?

Jake:  I’d like to know KK’s inspiration and DamonX.

Question: Do you notice any differences between the "younger" writers on here, and between the "older writers" of this site?

Jake:  That’s a loaded question, but I guess you can tell people that have been doing it for a while and people who are just starting out.  But then there are some people that just seem like an assembly line.  They have high volume, but low quality.  The longer-term writers seem more thought out, but some of the newer guys are just amazing out of the gate.  Read a story recently, can’t remember who’s it was, where I didn’t think the characters were well developed at all, however she had amazing talent in her writing.  I did drop her a note.

Question: Is there anything else you would like to say to the readers of this interview and your fans? Now is your chance...

Jake:  Just thanks for reading me for all these years.  Without your comments I’d feel like I was just whistling in the wind.  And if you’re a woman who’s got a good fantasy let me know, maybe I can use it. ;-)
