WILDFIRE8470 INTERVIEW

Q. How long have you been publishing at ES?

A. I started on E.S. in April of 2012 but from November 2012 through the first two weeks of April 2013, I was working with three editors for my first publication.I took time off to advertise, market, and promote my considerable derriere off! It's received really good reviews, but isn't selling much. Hey, you try to break into a world of Nora Roberts and Danielle Steels! I'm researching for (hopefully) another book, but decided to come back to ES because I like the people, and my friends, here. A writer writes - Always!

Q. What and when was the first story you published here?

A. It was one of my favorite stories titled, "You're Mine." It's a BDSM, Dom/sub, love story that I have a fond attachment to. Originally, I wrote it for a specific man with whom I was involved, in a long distance kind of way. Ever had phone sex with a love who knows how to push all the right buttons? It's the next best thing to being there! He invented the characters, unwittingly. I just wrote them. Everything, with the exception of naming names, is grist for the writing mill.

Q. How many stories have you published since then?

A. Excluding my first, there are ten on ES but anyone can find my older stories if they search my pen name: Wildfire8470. I'm all over the net.

Q. What was your most recent one?

A. Sharon's Treasure is my most recent. It's sort of an adult fairytale. Since I tend to write erotic romance, BDSM, and Dom/sub stories, I don't think people know quite what to make of it! For now, I'm trying out lots of genres and having a ball, so please read, rate, and feel free to write me! Send comments! We authors really do like to hear others' opinions, reactions, and constructive criticisms, and don't underestimate good conversation and company. It's all part of the learning process and I've made a few good friends here as well!

Q. To begin with, what can you tell us about yourself? Three or four points that will help your fans get to know you a little better

A. First of all, I'm 50 and still single! Where the heck are all the available men anyways? All kidding aside, I try to enjoy life in the here and now. Yesterday is gone. Let it go. For now, I live in Florida, so I like to walk in the surf at night (which is preferable with a significant other! HINT!) Writing a great story always tops my list, especially when it comes with comments. Good, bad, or indifferent, it's a barometer of my writing and whether the content was of interest. Also, I have a great sense of humor, twisted as it may be! Case in point: Recently a website wanted me to enter my address, so I did:

Elder-Hell, FL 34668

Ha! That will teach them to ask me personal information!

Q. Tell us about your first truly memorable and exciting erotic experience - who was it with, what did you think, what did you do?

A. When I visited my then-love/Dom in another state, he took me to a Halloween party at his dungeon. We went as graduates. Someone asked where we graduated from. I said "BDSM-U!" At first, we were voyeurs, watching others play, though it did surprise me to realize that I didn't find anything that felt out of the ordinary or even extreme, however it was a slow night! Most rooms designated to more extreme types of play were empty. We did some playful spanking, which lead to several types of sex. The hammock-chair suspended from the ceiling was amazing! That night was the best and also a huge turn on. Though I would never say who I was with, I will say that it wasn't anyone from this site.

Q. What do you look for in a lover... and what do you look for in a one-night stand?

A. Hmmm... Well, that is likely a lot of my problem. So many are looking for a one-night stand and maybe, for others, it's good enough as is, or maybe it could become more, but I'm not willing to accept that. I respect myself too much for that. I want and deserve much better. What I look for in a lover is love, a best friend, respect, and a man who feels as much for me as I do for him. Along with that, there has to be give and take on both parts. The man I choose will ABSOLUTELY have to be as strong as I am. He will know there is a time for playful fun, and a time to be a fully grown adult... and he'll know the difference.

Q. What's the kinkiest thing you have ever done? And what did you think about it afterwards?

A. Definitely the dungeon! Afterwards, While chilling in a group and talking one-on-one, I really liked the open and honest, judgement-devoid nature of the people there.

Q. What is the strangest place you have ever had sex?

A. In my early twenties, I got divorced and had to move back with my parents for awhile. I also had a relationship with a guy who lived with his family. Privacy was in short supply. When we were at our wits end, we went across the street (which was a small highway) to a graveyard! He was carrying a towel, so it was pretty obvious. People were honking and giving us a thumbs up! At least none of them stopped to investigate!

Q. Big cocks or small? Cut or uncut?

A. Ummm... I guess, I prefer average to big, but really it's a matter of whether he knows how to use what he's got. I can't really say about cut or uncut. I've never been intimate with anyone who was uncut. I don't mean that was my choice. That's just how it happened.

Q. Have you ever met a cock that was too big to fit in your mouth? What did you do instead?

A. Not exactly a cock, more like a gag gift that was literally a gag! A friend bought me an enormous dildo that was also huge in girth. I thought I'd use it to experiment with deep throat. Epic fail! I couldn't get it past my front teeth! I'm SO glad it wasn't the real deal!

Q. Tell us some of your sexual preferences.

A. I prefer men close to my age, preferably a little bit older. Lots of much younger guys have asked, but older men seem to know that sex begins way before you get to the bedroom. "Engage the mind. The body will follow." I don't know who said it, but it's absolutely true! There's a huge chasm of difference between getting laid and making love. I'll take a pass on getting laid.

Q. When you began writing erotic stories -and why?

A. I've been writing since I was old enough to hold a pen, but I didn't write erotica until about 1 & 1/2 years ago, with the exception of my book. That started as a double dirty dog dare about 12 years ago. It was just a short story then, which was published on Writings of Leviticus (also part of the dare.) I didn't think about it or kink again, until years later. I think it fills a void. Writing has always been my best outlet and my one, true love. Erotica was a genre that I sort of stumbled upon. I think it started with a few sexy IMs and grew into full blown stories after that.

Q. What is it about writing erotica that you most enjoy?

A. I really get a lot of enjoyment from the many and varied reactions. Also, it's a fantasy world. Anything that I want to happen, can happen in a story or a book.

Q. Does your partner or any of your friends know that you write? What do they think?

A. I was involved when my book was published, but he knew because I wrote stories for him. At the time, I asked him how he felt about having a girlfriend who writes smut! He said he thought it was pretty cool. For the most part, I've been hiding in plain sight. I come from a long line of people who definitely would not approve! This far, two cousins have found my writing. Fortunately, they're cool cousins who like me! That's the reason I posted the blurred picture in the burning heart. It was accurate, in that it said a lot about me, but was still fairly indistinguishable. Marshal Ferdinand Foch said, "The most powerful weapon on earth is the human soul on fire." I completely agree.

Q. What is your favorite category to write in, and why?

A. Haha! It really depends on my mood. When I'm sad, I write tons of spectacularly bad prose. Anger prompts revenge stories, which are strictly self-satisfying. Only one has seen the light of day in public, but a very select public. I've never named anyone, at least not by their real names. I guess, my favorite genre is erotic romance. Both together! What a great combination!

Q. How much of yourself do you include in your stories?

A. Ouch! Well usually, more than I care to admit. That's the great thing about fiction. I'm the only one who knows how much is me and how much is just fictitious characters.

Q. Is there anything that happens in your stories that you would really like to try in "real life", but haven't yet been able to?

A. In a word, yes! I'd like to find myself in a good relationship that doesn't stagnate or turn bad. It's a story that's been in my head forever, but I haven't been able to write it.

Q. One thing that I love about ES is that you very quickly build up a community of fans, who enjoy writing to and hearing from their favorite authors. Have you ever gone further and started IMing, texting or even met any of your fans?

A. It's one of the reasons I came back to ES. I've made several good friends here. We email and talk about real life stuff, family, work, traffic jams, weather, kids, etc. As far as I know, they're all married with children, but I enjoy their company and correspondence. There is no sexting. I'd have to feel an attraction to, and connection with, someone who's single for that.

Q. How do you feel when you receive negative comments or very low votes from readers?

A. I've never checked to see if I received low votes but one time, I did receive an email about Wrath of an Irish Maiden. It was constructive, so I wrote back to give my apologies and explain that I did fact check, but information written as factual is not always etched in stone. I would have liked to talk further since I'm thinking that I *might* do a historical romance set in Ireland. That could mean years of research, but I'm hoping to learn about my own roots along the way. It's all learning to me, and that can only make me a better author.

Q. What do you think is the best story you have published here?

A. That's kind of a coin toss. "My First Time" won story of the year on LustyLibrary.Com, but I have more emotional attachment to "You're Mine."

Q. Is there anything else you would like to say to the readers of this interview and your fans? Now is your chance...

A. Thank you all very much. I learn and grow with every comment, vote, and note. I so appreciate everyone who took the time to read and rate my stories.
