Q. How long have you been publishing at ES?

A. I think it has been about 13 years. Time flies when you are having fun! The incredibly erotic citizens of ancient Rome had an expression for this: tempus fugit. The phrase just sounds naughty.

Q. What and when was the first story you published here?

A. Gosh, I believe it was "Chris: The Nude Model." I wrote this on a whim from a male point of view. It is not exclusively based in fact, as most of my stories are, but it is loosely based on an experience shared with me by one of my aunts. She was an artist, and her college boyfriend modeled for her life drawings.

I stumbled across some of her sketches when I was cleaning out my grandmother's house, and I was speechless when I saw my fabulously well-endowed "Uncle Greg" in all of his naked glory. My fascination with large men probably began right then and there. A few years ago, I asked my aunt about her time with Greg. She couldn't find the words to describe the sex they shared. A. "Ingrid's Favorite Client" is my latest offering. The story is about as real as it gets. When my friend told me the story, I almost passed out - it was so terribly erotic. Q. To begin with, what can you tell us about yourself? Three or four points that will help your fans get to know you a little better

A. Well, I am married, very happily I might add. Hubby is wonderful and a sexual dynamo, to be perfectly honest. I have a very active professional life which keeps me very busy. One thing I do hide very well is my sexuality. My colleagues have no earthly idea how sensual I am behind my rather stern exterior. I love being feminine, or girly, or whatever you will. I adore Victoria's Secret and sexy underthings. I live a full and adventurous fantasy life. Hubby and I love to create different scenarios and act them out, sometimes in public. A. I believe that men are more visual creatures, but I realize there are loads of exceptions to this rule.

Q. What is it about writing erotica that you most enjoy?

A. Living out my fantasies through the stories that I help write. You have to remember that many of my stories are related to me by friends and acquaintances. Sometimes I have to reconstruct things a little to make them work as a story, but occasionally (as in Ingrid's case) the story just writes itself and cannot be improved upon. Women have one monumental advantage over men in this respect: we can discuss sex in an explicit way without suspicion. If I were a man, for example, I truly believe that my curiosity and propensity for detail would land me in quite a bit of trouble.

Q. Does your partner or any of your friends know that you write? What do they think?

A. No one knows. Hubby certainly knows I read erotica, but he has no idea that I produce it as well. This is my little treasure, my delicious secret. When you begin to share, you come up against all kinds of expectations and judgments which tend to inhibit free expression. Repression is not conducive to creative writing!

Q. What is your favorite category to write in, and why?

A. I do not have a favorite category. When I am ready to publish a story, I simply review the categories to find the most appropriate one.

Q. How much of yourself do you include in your stories?

A. I include lots of me in my stories. I think it's unavoidable. I do this for my own pleasure and satisfaction. If my encounters were written from another perspective, then the whole enterprise would be clinical and impersonal. The things I write about resonate inside of me. If I am not getting a little moist down there while writing, then I know something is wrong.

Q. Is there anything that happens in your stories that you would really like to try in "real life", but haven't yet been able to?

A. Once again, a bit of the girl-on-girl interaction. Ironically, I have never made love to a massively endowed gentleman, although I have seen a couple first-hand.

Q. One thing that I love about ES is that you very quickly build up a community of fans, who enjoy writing to and hearing from their favorite authors. Have you ever gone further and started IMing, texting or even met any of your fans?

A. I have never received messages from my fans which would lead to that sort of thing. The messages I get are generally positive, but they are rarely personal. I have never been asked to engage in one-on-one communication to date. That's fine with me; I am inclined to keep things professional.

Q. How do you feel when you receive negative comments or very low votes from readers?

A. It is unavoidable and doesn't bother me too much. Different strokes for different folks, right? Some people are turned on by explicit sex or certain fetishes, and they are never going to connect with my efforts. That's okay, but I do believe everyone should try to keep an open mind. If I don't care for someone's work, I don't leave feedback that would diminish their efforts. There is a place for everyone in this community, and this is a beautiful thing.

Q. What do you think is the best story you have published here?

A. I will let my readers decide that. I will go with the stats. I am not sure if the number of times a story is read is more important than the average vote, so I will leave it up to the readers to decide.
