KNIGHT INTERVIEW

Q. How long have you been publishing at ES?

I cannot believe that it has been at least 14 years! I had some stories that were published in 1999 I believe. Right now my oldest active story is from 2000. Unfortunately some of the older ones had to be taken down. I hope to get to re-writing them someday.

Q. What and when was the first story you published here?

My first try at writing was about well-known characters. It was a the first of a three part series that involved a morning TV show that was broadcasting from the islands. It was kind of born out of a combination of boredom and frustration. I knew what I liked to read, but I also noticed that certain things would turn me off about certain stories. Even though I'm not as talented as some writers, I decided to give it a shot!

Q. How many stories have you published since then?

Right now my career total is 20 stories. I have taken my time in releasing stories since then. I am trying to work on creating more detailed and longer stories. For a short time I was content on churning out quick works that could be strung together, but it seems I get my best response from longer well-written stories so that is what I'm trying to deliver! :)

Q. What was your most recent one?

My most recent one was Occupant Wrath. It was a one off spoof I wanted to write to get my writing going again. I am currently working on a third part to my story line title Research Papers and Workout Partners. It is a story that I have been working on for more than a year now.

Q. Now, is there anything you'd like to tell us about yourself?

I am very handsome of course! In case you couldn't tell, I'm big on foreplay and connections. My characters rarely jump into bed right away lately. In my younger days it was just like my regular sex life. Find someone and jump in right away. The more you can connect with a person it makes the sex that much better. The same is true with a character! I want to get better at having my readers connect and understand the characters and why they are doing what they are doing.

Q. How and when did you begin writing erotic stories?

EroticStories.com is where it all started. I found this website and could not get enough. At the time I was reading 4-5 stories a day. Even though I'm a guy and we are mostly visual, my imagination is even better. I rarely watch TV because it can be so formulaic. I really enjoy the stories that don't go the way you think!

Q. Have you published anywhere other than ES.com?

I have. I try to get as much feedback as possible so I post on here and one other site. I try to time it so that they release around the same time. Feedback is really what keeps me going so the more I can get the better.

Q. What is it about writing erotica that you most enjoy?

What don't I enjoy? The process is so stimulating to my mind, but my favorite part is getting the feedback. Unfortunately many people do not take the time to write. Whether it is good or bad; every author wants to hear from you! The negative people will always voice their opinion. I often feel the people who vote and enjoy the stories outweigh the people that don't. It would be awesome to hear from the people that do enjoy the story!

Q. What is your favorite category to write in, and why?

I started off in the category about well-known people. It was easy to plop a well-known person into a story because most readers know what they look like and what their personalities are like. For the last 10 years or so it has been interracial. One thing that always stands out in porn and in my mind is the contrast between two people of another background getting together. It is something very erotic and probably played a role into why I'm married to someone of anther color! ;)

Q. How much of yourself do you include in your stories?

There was one character in one of my stories that was what I envisioned myself being in the future. Only one reader reached out and asked it was me and they were right! It kind of scared me and delighted me at the same time. It was very cool. I didn't do it on purpose necessarily, but after the reader said it; I realized that it was what happened!

Q. Is there anything that happens in your stories that you would really like to try in "real life", but haven't yet been able to?

I have been interested in swinging for quite some time. I have mentioned it to my wife and played with the idea, but it doesn't seem likely. I'm sure someday it will happen with a friend of ours. I still have to get comfortable with the idea that I would have to share her with someone. I am still someone who is very selfish in that regard. :)

Q. Does your partner or any of your friends know that you write? What do they think?

I have only mentioned to one of my friends that I write stories. I have never mentioned to them what type or where. I think my perverse side is one I like to keep private and share with the rest of you! This is my release where I can explore and think of things that I couldn't try in real life. At least not yet...

Q. What, if any, difficulties do you face when writing - erotic writing difficulties and general writing difficulties? And how do you overcome them?

There are so many. Many times I like to look for inspiration and look around the internet for ideas and things I can incorporate into my stories. Often that means I end up exploring too much and losing myself in my research materials! The other thing I face the most is the question of whether or not what I'm writing has been done of is too cliche.

Q. How about in more general terms - how do you feel about the "outside world"'s perception of erotic writing?

Ladies have had romance novels for quite some time. I feel like some of the outside world think it is worse than just watching. Perhaps because it takes more effort to read, but this hobby should be applauded! People don't read enough anymore!

Q. One thing that I love about ES is that you very quickly build up a community of fans, who enjoy writing to and hearing from their favorite authors. Do you have any favorite topics that have surfaced in these "conversations"?

I have written many fans back. One fan and I connected on a very deep level and had quite a bit of fun! ;)

Q. How do you feel when you receive negative comments or very low votes from readers?

Low votes will come many times from people who just don't like what you wrote about. Some people are against interracial and it always amuses me that they are in the category and reading the stories. I know they do because they mention parts of the story. I always laugh at some guy jerking off then giving me a 2. I know they will come. I appreciate the constructive comments the most. You can tell which people are helpful and which ones are just there to be ignorant.

Q. And do you read, and respond to, other writers on the site? Who are your favorites?

One guy that I always have to read is THE RAKE. I love his stories. They really help you envision the character and he sets up the scene so well.

Gary Johns wrote "The Seduction of Amy" which I think is the best story I have ever read. It is one of the few that I will go back and read again.

Lic Lovely wrote two of my favorite series of all time.

Q. Do you remember the first pornography you ever saw?

Oh yeah. Like every other boy I found a stash of my uncles VHS. Kids have it easy these days!

Q. What's the kinkiest thing you have ever done?

I'm a big fan of sex in public places. My favorite had to be the bleachers at the softball fields at the park by my house. The girl looked like gianna michaels. She was a bartender I knew and we were walking to my place after her time at the bar. We never made it. Ended up on those bleachers until dawn...

Q. Do you have any fantasies that you would like to fulfill?

Two women at a time. I have had opportunities and never fully went through with it.

Q. What is a major turn on for you during sex?

A woman who talks. No moaning, but dirty talk. Not just the usual "fuck me" either.

Q. How about a major turn off?

I don't have many, but bad hand jobs...just saying ladies...

Q: How do you feel about same sex relationships, both personally and as a writer?

I do share many of the feelings that I convey in my writing. Many of them. Even if I don't act on the things in my stories, they main theme is very much what I believe in. People should be with each other because of attraction and chemistry, not because of time served or history.

Q. How long does it take for you to write a story? Could you talk us through the process?

After I get an idea I start to work out situations in my mind. Then I go to putting those experiences and situations to hard disk. I try to flesh out as much as I can. From there it is fine tuning. I try to make sure things flow properly and there is a build-up. Foreplay is the biggest turn on for me and I want a story that sets things up. For me the hottest parts are how the characters get there.

Q. What do you think is the best story you have published here?

I think both parts of Research Paper and Workout Partners. The third part which is coming soon will be my best. Guaranteed!

Q. Finally, do you have a website or a blog, where your fans can visit and maybe learn more about you?

No website, but any story ideas or folks that want to chat should e-mail me at knightwriter55@hotmail.com

I love requests and do my best to accommodate folks!

Please read KNIGHT's stories!
