Well well I have another interview for you! I must apologize for the long space between interviews. I promise to do better the next few months. Our next interviewee is another one of our wonderful women authors. Ladygrey currently has 43 stories posted on the site and holds the #3 position on the Top Author’s list. Read on to find out some more about Ladygrey…

Tell us about you:

Question: First tell us something about yourself, like name, age, and some other things we would like to know about you...Let’s call it a short bio.

Ladygrey: Hello, my given name is Laura; I am a 44 year old married woman, although at the moment I do live apart from my spouse. For the most part, we live a different life style, although we both do still live in the same house. I live and work in the UK, in a lovely area called North Yorkshire, which is a wonderful part of the UK with beautiful countryside, hills and dales dotted with picturesque old world villages and historic towns. I have one son who is 21 and at university studying law. When he has completed his studies he will, I expect, be joining his farther in the family law business started many year ago by my husbands great grand-farther.

I have my own business and run a very successful riding and trekking centre. Riding is a sport that has become very popular in this part of the country. I have led an interesting and varied life and draw a lot on my own experiences for my stories. As a child, I traveled extensively, visiting many parts of the world as my parents were in the civil service. I was educated first at a local school, then at an all girl’s boarding school, before going on to a catholic college to gain entrance to either university or college. As it turned out to be in my case, and much to my parent’s disappointment, Art College.

After talking up a post as an art teacher at an independent school, I spent the next three years teaching art and other related subjects. I then traveled to Spain where after some adventures I met and married my husband and returned to the UK. We had a very happy and interesting life together until the death of my father-in-law caused irresolvable problems in our lives. Since then we have been living apart in the same house

Question: What are you wearing right now?

Ladygrey: I always find this question quite amusing, because when I am chatting on the internet, I am always asked this question by men, and sometimes women. I am afraid I don’t usually give the answer that is expected of me. Like at the moment, I am sitting at my desk in the office in my working gear, jeans and a warm sweater. I think most men think we spend the days naked playing with ourselves, just waiting for their calls

Question: Does your spouse or significant other know you write, and if so, what does he/she think?

Ladygrey: He knows I write. It is something I have done for a long while, but I don’t think he knows what I am writing at the moment, erotic stories. I am not sure how he would take it if he knew.

Question: Is it difficult for you to keep your writing life separate from your professional life?

Ladygrey: No, it is just a fun thing and a way of relaxing. When we are quiet, I manage to do some of my writing at work. I save my ideas on to floppy disks. Then when I get home, I down-load them to my computer and continue the work later when I am in my room.

Question: How did you come up with your ES nickname?

Ladygrey: I toyed around with quite a few names. I wanted something that would stand out and be a little bit different and cause a bit of interest. I came up with the idea when one day I was surfing and came across a BDSM site with a Lady Jane. I thought the idea of a real English lady writing erotic stories might be something that would attract people. Then I was making my favorite cuppa (You know what we English are like for a cup of tea.) with Earl Grey tea. I noticed on the packet that the company concerned, Twinning’s, also make another brand called Lady Grey tea. So here I was Lady Grey. It seems to have been a good idea.

Question: What brought you to EroticStories.com? What made you want to stay and become a part of it?

Ladygrey: I have always been interested in the erotic and I used to read stories on the Literotica site. I found that they were either disappointingly long winded or crude and that there were not that many really good erotic ones. Someone I was chatting to on the internet suggested I try Erotic Stories. I found the stories on there somewhat more to my liking and presented in a more readable way. But again there was the problem that so many stories on Erotica were written by men, men who seem to like the more explicit stories with not a lot of titillation. Most of them had their heroine stripped of and fucked within the first paragraph. I thought I could do a better job, so I submitted a short story that I had written a few years ago and much to my amazement and delight the rest is history.

Question: What is your favorite part of your body? Why?

Ladygrey: I like my breasts, because they are the first part of a woman’s body that most men look at. Mine are extremely sensitive and I enjoy them been caressed.

Question: If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be and why?

Ladygrey: At the moment, my age. I would like to be 18 again and have the experience that I have now.

Question: Boxers v Briefs? / Panties v Thong?

Ladygrey: Definitely boxers! I think briefs for men are getting rather old fashioned, but I do like the tight new boxers. They are very pleasing to the eye and give you a hint of the pleasures to come. As for panties and thongs, well, I think there is a place for both in practicality, necessity and comfort. I like my comfortable cotton panties when I am working or riding. Thongs have their place but I find them somewhat uncomfortable at times, whereas panties can be so sexy. Men like to be titillated and aroused and there is nothing like a brief pair of rather revealing panties being slipped down to do the trick.

Writing Habits:

Question: What do you like the most about writing erotic stories?

Ladygrey: As most of my reader will agree, I like writing about new and different topics. I find putting a different slant on my stories make it more interesting for both me and my readers. It is getting harder to come up with new story lines.

Question: How long have you been writing now? How did it all get started and what made you write your first story?

Ladygrey: I first started writing when I was at college when I was 18. I have kept most of my old stories and I rewrite them from time to time and submit them. I can’t remember what made me write my first story. It was probably an entry in my diary, something I always kept as a young girl.

Question: Which of your stories is your personal favorite, the one you enjoyed writing the most, and/or the one holds the best memories or feelings for you?

Ladygrey: I think it was the first one in the Caroline series. This was one of the first erotic stories I ever wrote. It was about a woman who had to slowly strip off while serving a meal to her husband’s boss who he was at the time entertaining. I did several versions of this story and it gave me a lot of pleasure. Of all the stories I have written I think I myself like The Cellist. It’s the one I most relate to. It’s only a short one but it’s to the point and as a good and surprising ending.

Question: Have you ever gotten so turned on while writing that you had to stop to masturbate? What story was it?

Ladygrey: No I never get turned on when I am writing my own stories but I do reading other peoples stories.

Question: Do you write from fantasy or true stories or a combination of both? Please explain or give an example.

Ladygrey: A little of both. I am often asked this question and there is a bit of both in all my stories. I have had a lot of interesting sexual experiences in my life. Sometime in my life I have done or experienced most of the things I write about in my stories, so I can speak from experience on most sexual subjects. There is of course also a lot of fantasy. I leave it up to my readers to decide which is which.

Question: Are the characters in your story based on real people, did you make them up, or are they a combination of both?

Ladygrey: Yes I like using people I know, I often wonder if anyone I know will ever read any of my stories and recognize themselves.

Question: What parts of "Yourself" do you put into your characters?

Ladygrey: Most of me goes into most of my stories as the heroine. I try to put myself into the shoes of the character, doing things that I like and having things done to her that I like having done to me.

Question: How long does it take for you to write a complete story? How does the process go?

Ladygrey: That is a hard question to answer. Sometimes I write stories in one go. When I have an idea, I try to get it down on paper as quickly as possible, then go back to the start and rewrite it, putting in further detail and expanding it. Other times I start a story, write a page or so, and then it stops on my computer until I get around to adding some more. I have about ten or more stories on my computer at any one time, all unfinished. Some of them are extra chapters to stories already submitted. They are sometimes not completed because the previous chapter has not had particularly good reading figures. Others because I just can’t take them any further at the moment. When I am satisfied, I now submit them to a good friend who proofs them for me and sometimes makes suggestions to improve the story by either adding or omitting certain things.

Question: How do you come up with your story titles?

Ladygrey: Usually the last job I do before submitting the story, I look through the story and try to come up with something that will catch the reader’s eye.

Question: What is the hardest part of writing a story?

Ladygrey: At the moment, thinking of a new situation. I get my ideas from all over-- a bit from a film or a TV program or something that people have sent me as an idea. Just to give you on example, the story ‘The Lift Stunt’, although not very successful, was given to me by one of my employees who was once telling me about a university rag stunt. (This is where local students have a day at the end of term raising money for charity by dressing up and doing stunts to collect money). The girl told me of the day she and her friend spent the day naked in a lift (for you Americans, this is an elevator) at the university collecting money from all the passengers.

Question: Have you ever done research for a part of a story you didn’t have any knowledge about or maybe for a sex scene?

Ladygrey: I don’t want to sound awful when I say this but I don’t think there are any sexual situations that I don’t have first hand knowledge of. But I do some research to try and make my stories more interesting. I have recently been asked to write a novel. It is something I am finding quite difficult, so I am doing quite a lot of research into locations and items in the story, like the make of cars, the professions of the characters and what their work entails.

Question: Do you have any secret stories you don’t want to publish for the public? Do you publish your stories on other sites besides EroticStories.com and if so, why? Have you ever been published on paper?

Ladygrey: I wouldn’t call them secret stories. I have a collection of stories that I wrote about my experiences at school and college but I am unable to publish them because of the age of the people involved. I have updated some of the stories and submitted them, but some would not be plausible, so they stay where they are. About being on other sites, being so popular, I have been approached by other webmasters to place my work on their site and I have agreed, but I think in all, I am only on maybe three other sites. I must add that I have never had the response on those sites that I have had on Erotic Stories. As for being published, I have allowed a publisher in London to place three of my stories in a woman’s magazine she edits, and she is now talking to me about publishing me in a book of Erotic Short Stories.

Question: When you receive negative comments do you just ignore them, build from them, or let it put a negative image over the story itself, and let it hinder your writing?

Ladygrey: I sometimes get annoyed about negative comments from readers if they don’t give a reason for them. Constructive comments I love to receive. I used to get a lot of comments about my English and my spelling, but I now have a wonderful friend in the States who is also a writer on Erotica. Ray has been a great help to me and we have become close friends. He has even written a great story about me. I now submit everything I write to him for his approval and checking. I also try to reply politely to anyone who makes negative comments asking for their reasons and explaining the reasons for what I have written, but some are just idiots and in that case I ignore them.

Reading Habits:

Question: Do you also enjoy reading erotic stories? Which categories do you enjoy the most? Do you like true stories or fantasies?

Ladygrey: I love reading erotic stories and try to check out all new stories each day. I like slut wives, exhibitionist and some BDSM stories. If they are fantasies or not, it doesn’t matter as long as they are well written and excite me. I have found from comments I have received that like most women, I like the stories to be erotic, something that leaves a little to the imagination, with a ring of truth. Some writers seem to have no idea about the sex act, don’t follow the scene, have no idea about foreplay and seem to think that women are always wet and ready. If it were only that easy.

Question: Do you vote on other author's stories? How do you decide what score to give when you do?

Ladygrey: Yes I do, if I find the story interesting and it titillates me, especially if I have to break off in the middle to do things to myself. The score depends on the height of my excitement.

Question: Do you send other author’s comments or feedback on their stories?

Ladygrey: Yes, if the story is good, writers seem to like getting comments from other writers,. I know I do. Also, if the story is bad and I think I can help in any way, I will write and offer help and make constructive comments. Sometimes it is appreciated, sometimes not.

Question: Do you have a favorite author on ES? What makes them your favorite?

Ladygrey: I don’t have a list of favorite authors. I like women writers the best, although I find some men interesting. Who can make any adverse comment about Jennifer O’s stories? She is number one for a very good reason and I always look forward to any new stories from her.

Question: When you read a story do you: A. Touch yourself and come around the same time one of the characters do? B. Touch yourself but wait for the end to come? C. Touch yourself but wait until after you finish the story to come, such as after going to bed? D. Not touch yourself until you are finished and then continue thinking about the story and come? E. Any other variation you may do? (Please tell us what it is)

Ladygrey: If it’s a good erotic story, one that really excites me, I find that probably I cum well before the characters in the stories do. Then I probably do it all over again when I get into bed; that is, of course, if I am on my own.

Sex Habits:

Question: Do you enjoy the visual side of erotica, as in porn movies or pictures? If so, do you have any favorites?

Ladygrey: Yes, I do very much, not hard porn movies, they bore me. One day someone will make a good one. I wish they would let me write for them. Pictures I find only mildly interesting. I love a good erotic film. The Story of O is a classic, a French film banned in the UK for several years, starring the incredibly sexy Corinne Clery and the dashingly handsome English actor, Anthony Steel. I now have a treasured copy on DVD. In my humble opinion, it is one of the most erotic and arousing films ever made. I have watched it dozens of times and cum profusely, much to my partners delight every time. Watching it with a partner, be it either male or female, always finishes up the same way. I can highly recommend it to anyone who likes to sit down with their friend with a nice bottle of wine and a box of chocolates and have a good evening. A truly erotic movie, Nine and a Half Weeks, is another, with Mickey O’Rourke, but the book is better. I also like the early Emmanuel films with Silvia Kristal.

Question: Do you remember the first pornography you ever saw? Tell us about it?

Ladygrey: The first were old grainy pornographic photos I saw at school when I was only 14 or so. I remember I was very shocked at the time when I was told by a class mate that when I grew up, I would be expected to do what they were doing.

Question: Have you ever participated in erotic photography? If so, please tell us about it. If not, would you rather be the photographed or the photographer?

Ladygrey: In erotic photography, yes. I have posed nude on many occasions both for photographers and artists. Being an exhibitionist, I like posing in the nude and would much rather be the photographed than the photographer

Question: What do you wear to bed?

Ladygrey: Depends on the weather and who I am with. On cold nights on my own, warm pajamas, in the summer when it’s warm just panties or a thin nightdress. When I’m with a partner, I’m like my favorite film star, Marilyn Monroe, I wear only Chanel number 5.

Question: Do your sex life and writing have any correlation with each other??

Ladygrey: Sometimes I draw on my experiences in my sex life for ideas for my stories

Question: How would you rate your willingness to try new things in bed?

Ladygrey: Is there something new? lol. I am always willing to try anything once, well, not actually anything, there is something I would not do.

Question: What’s the kinkiest thing you have done in your life?

Ladygrey: Had full sex on a crowded dance floor in a disco.

Question: Do you have any fantasies that you would like to fulfil?

Ladygrey: Yes I do. My greatest fantasy, and it’s something that has been around in my life for many years, is about being arrested by either the police or some other law enforcement organization and made to strip or be stripped in front of a group of men, then to be questioned and abused by them because I could not or would not answer their questions. I always try to look guilty when I walk through customs hoping that one day I will be called out and strip searched by one of the good looking custom officers, but although I have traveled widely, it has never happened.

Question: What do you think about solo sex?

Ladygrey: I think I just answered that one.

Question: What is your opinion about sex toys? Do you have any toys yourself and if so, do you like to use them?

Ladygrey: I have an interesting collection of vibrators and I am always on the lookout for new and interesting ones to add to my collection. As to the second part, yes, I do use them when ever the need arises.

Question: What are your favourite; and least favourite positions?

Ladygrey: I think I like doggie the most. It gives the guy an opportunity to explore the rest of the interesting parts of your body at the same time. I love to have my breasts caressed while we are having sex. I also like riding on top facing my partner. It gives me a sense of power to control the situation, and again my breasts are available. With a good and experienced women partner, there is nothing better and more fulfilling than the 69. Anal sex is my least favorite and I now refuse to do it. I have tried it and I hate it. If a guy wants to fuck your arse, he may as well get a guy or an animal. We have a perfectly serviceable hole that gives both parties pleasure, so why not use it?

Question: Do you believe in one night stands?

Ladygrey: Yes. What more can I say

Question: What makes someone sexy to you?

Ladygrey: Someone that interests me and turns me on by their looks and manners.

Question: What is a major turn on for you during sex?

Ladygrey: Having my pussy sucked, I love both giving and receiving oral sex.

Question: What is a major turn off for you during sex?

Ladygrey: Someone trying to stick their fingers and other things up my arse. And someone who smells or has bad BO.

Question: Sex-talk. Do you like or dislike talking during sex?

Ladygrey: Love it and the dirtier the better

Question: In bed or on the kitchen table?

Ladygrey: Any place, but it’s always nice to finish up in bed.

Question: What is your favourite or most memorable moment in bed?

Ladygrey: It’s got to be the first time I ever had sex. Unlike most girls I know, it was a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I was only 16 at the time, he was in his early thirties and he was gentle and kind. Took all the time in the world to give me pleasure and made sure I was ready and then he gave me complete satisfaction. It was something I will never ever forget.

And Last but not least...

Question: I recently asked Art which authors had the most stories on the site. You are tired for #4 of the female authors with the most stories with a total of 33 stories posted. How does that feel? ** (LadyGrey currently has 43 stories posted on the site.)

Ladygrey: It actually amazes me. When I first saw my position, I could not believe it. I must be doing something right.

Question: You are #9 on the “Top 100 favorite authors” list. How does it feel to know you have 270 people that have favorite you? ** (LadyGrey is currently at #3 with a total of 395 people that have favorited her.)

Ladygrey: I just love it and I can’t wait to overtake Jennifer,

Question: Is there anybody on this site, who you would like to see interviewed? Why?

Ladygrey: I have talked to Lori a few times. She seems to be an interesting person and leads a full life.

Question: Do you notice any differences between the "younger" writers on here, and between the "older writers" of this site?

Ladygrey: Can’t say I notice the age unless it is pointed out to me. I am not concerned with age. I like the saying that a man is as old as the women he feels.

Question: Is there anything else you would like to say to the readers of this interview and your fans? Now is your chance...

Ladygrey: I would like to, from the bottom of my heart, thank the mind blowing and amazing quarter of a million readers who have taken the trouble to read all my stories. I just can’t believe the figure of reads that I have had. Thank them for their letters and e-mails and say to all of them, wherever they are, if they want to contact me, please do so. I will always reply and I am always willing to talk and answer their questions on any subject. Thanks again and I hope you find this interview interesting and gives you a better insight into the mind and body of Lady Grey.

** Please note the statistics noted were current at the time of this interview was done in May. Statistics can change daily, even hourly, so these may not be the exact numbers that you will find on the site when you read this interview.
