Tell us about you:

Question: First tell us something about yourself, like name, age, and some other things we would like to know about you...Let’s call it a short bio.

Tom Land: I’m in my earlier 30s and I’ve been writing stories for a long time, much longer than I’ve been posting them on ES. I’m single, never married, never divorced, had several relationships, never really fathered any children although if you read my stories, you may suspicion as I do that there are some kids out there who I’m truly the father of. But, not to my personal knowledge.

Question: What are you wearing right now?

Tom Land: RIGHT NOW I’m wearing a pair of jeans and a button-up shirt. Sometimes when I’m writing I’m wearing only a robe and totally naked underneath, sometimes a pair of briefs or boxer shorts and no T-shirt at all. Just depends.

Question: Does your spouse or significant other know you write, and if so, what does he/she think?

Tom Land: No one but the ES world knows that I write these stories. This is a totally compartmentalized part of my entire life. This part of Tom Land only exists in reality for those of you who have read and enjoyed my stories on ES.

Question: Is it difficult for you to keep your writing life separate from your professional life?

Tom Land: It depends on how you mean that. My entire life and my surroundings often contribute directly to my stories. That’s a whole interview in itself ­ where do I get my story ideas. From anything and everything. So, in that respect, my professional working life is very much a part of my ES writing because so many of my female co-workers, friends, and acquaintances show up in my stories. But, as far as my professional life, my ES life doesn’t exist.

Question: How did you come up with your ES nickname?

Tom Land: It IS my name.

Question: What brought you to EroticStories.com? What made you want to stay and become a part of it?

Tom Land: It’s been so long now, I’ve forgotten how I came to find ES. But, I have to say (and I’ve told Art this a number of times), it’s one of the classiest websites of its kind. I find it a real privilege to be among the published authors on ES. I find it an amazing privilege to know that I’ve got the second largest number of stories posted on ES. That really tickles me.

Question: What is your favorite part of your body? Why?

Tom Land: My cock. My cock isn’t bad looking; it’s a nice long thick size when I’m hard, and I find it the very source of my own sexual pleasure when I’m aroused. I’ve got a nice big 7 inches of hard cock, about 1 ½ to 2 inches across when I’m fully hard and ready for sex.

Question: How long have you been writing now? How did it all get started and what made you write your first story?

Tom Land: I’ve been posting stories on ES for at least six years this May. I’d have to check but I think my first story went up on there about May 2000.

Question: Which of your stories is your personal favorite, the one you enjoyed writing the most, and/or the one holds the best memories or feelings for you?

Tom Land: Hard question. I really don’t have any super personal favorites. I really enjoy all the stories I’ve written.

Question: Have you ever gotten so turned on while writing that you had to stop to masturbate? What story was it?

Tom Land: Frequently. And, as many of my readers have said but that didn’t realize why, many of my stories have been rushed to conclusion because I wanted to finish but I was hot to jack off.

Question: Do you write from fantasy or true stories or a combination of both? Please explain or give an example.

Tom Land: Both ­ either/or. I write some stories from total fantasy, some from real-life of my own or from details I’ve been provided. And some are a combination of real-life and fantasy.

Question: Are the characters in your story based on real people, did you make them up, or are they a combination of both?

Tom Land: Again, both. Many of my stories are written 100% based on either my own experiences or those I’ve had shared with me by the people I’m writing about.

Question: What parts of "Yourself" do you put into your characters?

Tom Land: “Tom” in my stories is often me, but not always. IF I write the story in first-person using Tom as the male character’s name, it’s me. If I’m writing it third-person, then even though he’s called “Tom”, it may include a lot more fictitious material.

Question: If there was one trait you could take from one of your characters in your stories, and put it in place in your real life, what would it be and why?

Tom Land: Total ability to relate to various women and seduce them into bed without any difficulty at all. I don’t always find it that totally easy to accomplish.

Question: How long does it take for you to write a complete story? How does the process go?

Tom Land: It depends. The story complexity, how hot I am to get the story written, etc. I’ve had some stories that I’ve been mulling over for some time and then one day, the creative juices can no longer be held back and I start writing until it’s finished. I’ve done a lot of multiple part stories and have recently been bringing a lot of those to conclusions. So, sometimes it can take quite a while to bring a multi-part story to a conclusion.

Question: How do you come up with your story titles?

Tom Land: I try to give my stories a title that’s eye-catching and possibly that isn’t too cryptic. I know I’ve been very pleased with some of the titles I’ve come up with and others are just OK.

Question: What is the hardest part of writing a story?

Tom Land: Sustaining and building to a very hot sexy tempo and climax without getting in a hurry to move things along so that the story ends up suffering by being brought to a climax too quickly. Could we call that “story premature climax”??

Question: Have you ever done research for a part of a story you didn’t have any knowledge about or maybe for a sex scene?

Tom Land: Actually, no. I find it very difficult to find the sorts of research sources I’d use for my stories. So, most of the stuff I use I already know.

Question: Do you have any secret stories you don’t want to publish for the public? Do you publish your stories on other sites besides EroticStories.com and if so, why? Have you ever been published on paper?

Tom Land: No, there are not any stories of the ES variety that I have kept “secret”. Yes, I also post stories on www.storiesonline.net (SO) and all of those stories are of a variety that ES doesn’t use. Those tend to be stories that are not allowed on ES. I don’t write stories about really young kids but I’ve written several about teenagers who are a little bit under 18 years of age.

Question: When you receive negative comments do you just ignore them, build from them, or let it put a negative image over the story itself, and let it hinder your writing?

Tom Land: It truly depends on the negative comment. I finally quit allowing “anonymous comments” because it became obvious that I was getting some very nasty negative comments but those folks weren’t brave enough to give me their name. I finally got tired of those and block them. But, a decent negative comment will always get a decent reply back from me and I always consider them and incorporate valuable thoughts if they’re shared.

Reading Habits:

Question: Do you also enjoy reading erotic stories? Which categories do you enjoy the most? Do you like true stories or fantasies?

Tom Land: I do enjoy reading erotic stories. I must say I enjoy reading the ones that are well written and that tell a good sexy story.

Question: Do you vote on other author's stories? How do you decide what score to give when you do?

Tom Land: I ALWAYS vote on another author’s stories and I wish more people would vote on mine. I usually rate a story in the 6-10 point area unless it’s really really bad.

Question: Do you send other author’s comments or feedback on their stories?

Tom Land: I always make some comment on another author’s stories. I appreciate it and I figure they would, too. I always respond to the emails I get. Always. Do I always get a reply back from the positive comments I give to other authors. No, not always; in fact, more times than not, I never hear from the other author.

Question: Do you have a favorite author on ES? What makes them your favorite?

Tom Land: I really don’t. I guess I’m my favorite author. :) But let me hasten to say that I really enjoy a lot of the authors on ES and the only ones I don’t care for are those who write overly simplistic stories or those that write stories that are so painfully short that you wonder why they even bothered.

Question: When you read a story do you: A. Touch yourself and come around the same time one of the characters do? B. Touch yourself but wait for the end to come? C. Touch yourself but wait until after you finish the story to come, such as after going to bed? D. Not touch yourself until you are finished and then continue thinking about the story and come? E. Any other variation you may do? (Please tell us what it is)

Tom Land: B. I will touch myself and wait for the end to come And, if the story really grabs me, I may masturbate while reading that story so many times that you’d be amazed.

Sex Habits:

Question: Do you enjoy the visual side of erotica, as in porn movies or pictures? If so, do you have any favorites?

Tom Land: Yes, very much so. I really enjoy decent quality porn. I’ve seen some porn loops that were pretty good but I really enjoy those that have actors/actresses that have some acting ability and try to bring that to the porn film script.

Question: Do you remember the first pornography you ever saw? Tell us about it?

Tom Land: I can barely remember some of the first porn I ever saw. Tom Land: That statistic is the hugest possible compliment that could be paid to my writing. As I said, when I started posting stories to ES in May 2000, I never gave any thought to whether others would enjoy my stories, much less that 251 people would indicate me as their Most Favorite Author. I think that’s huge and I can only say, “Thank you so very much to every person who has read my stories and especially to all of you who have identified me as Your favorite author”.

Question: Is there anybody on this site, who you would like to see interviewed? Why?

Tom Land: I would love to see a wide variety of guys and girls interviewed. Don’t have anyone special in mind.

Question: Do you notice any differences between the "younger" writers on here, and between the "older writers" of this site?

Tom Land: No, really haven’t noticed that or paid any attention to it.
