Carmenica Diaz is our next author who agreed to answer all the questions I had for her. She currently has 18 stories posted on the site, all of them being in the female domination section. Read on to learn some interesting tid bits about her.

Tell us about you:

Question: First tell us something about yourself, like name, age, and some other things we would like to know about you...Let’s call it a short bio.

Carmenica Diaz: Where to begin? Age late thirties and an academic - with tenure at a respected educational institution. Suppose it’s a little strange thinking of me lecturing to scruffy university students but I do! *smile* Specialising in history of a certain era, have published books on that subject. I was born in Dublin but moved to London at a young age where I have remained, although have traveled Europe extensively both in a professional and recreational capacity.

Question: What are you wearing right now?

Carmenica Diaz: Do you want the truth? Nothing sexy, I’m afraid. I’m seeking comfort at the moment. The bra goes as soon as I’m in the door! Just a white top with a logo on it that I picked up in Munich, skirt and slip-ons ­ and yes, knickers ­ cotton and comfortable. Sorry to disappoint.

Question: Does your spouse or significant other know you write, and if so, what does he/she think?

Carmenica Diaz: Yes, he knows. My husband (second ­ my first marriage was for practice *smile*) is submissive and we’ve been on a our journey of exploration for almost three years. It becomes quite intense at times but we keep pushing the edge. He has mixed feelings about the writing ­ it arouses and tantalises him but I also use it as disciplinary nature.

Question: Is it difficult for you to keep your writing life separate from your professional life?

Carmenica Diaz: Not really. A few people know ­ best friends, hubby, of course. I am very prolific - write quite a bit. The academic training has been helpful and I find write erotica is a way to relax. It is quite different from what I usually write. Being in academia is useful as I can appear to be rather eccentric and still be respected.

Question: How did you come up with your ES nickname?

Carmenica Diaz: My literary name was selected by a very old friend who also writes. Have no idea where she got it from but I rather liked it as it sounds exotic and quite different from my true name.

Question: What brought you to EroticStories.com? What made you want to stay and become a part of it?

Carmenica Diaz: I publish short stories at various places, mostly to promote my books. EroticStories.com is one of the better ones, the readers are reasonably polite and I like the idea of splitting the story into two. For an author, the statistic that shows how many people went on to read the rest of the story is invaluable.

Question: What is your favorite part of your body? Why?

Carmenica Diaz: Hate this question! Would have to say my legs. Have good legs ­ longish, well formed and slim. Wear skirts to display them.

Question: If you could change one thing about yourself what would it be and why?

Carmenica Diaz: My ears stick out a little. Usually cover them with hair but have toyed with the idea of getting them adjusted. People say that don’t notice but one tends to amplify one’s obsessions.

Question: Boxers v Briefs? / Panties v Thong?

Carmenica Diaz: Enjoy subby men in briefs ­ usually a little smaller than they would normally wear ­ it creates a nice picture. Not a fan of boxers for men at all ­ think they look vaguely silly. Wear knickers of various types but tend to wear comfortable ones mostly, usually cotton and have a brand I follow a little slavishly. When something fits well and rides well (women will know what I mean) stick with them! Writing Habits:

Question: What do you like the most about writing erotic stories?

Carmenica Diaz: As I said, it’s relaxing and a way to divorce myself from my “other life”.

Question: How long have you been writing now? How did it all get started and what made you write your first story?

Carmenica Diaz: Almost three years. A long-standing friend had been writing and I thought I could do the same. She certainly encouraged and helped me. It rather exploded from that.

Question: What categories are most of your stories in? What kind would you never write?

Carmenica Diaz: Female domination and some TG which enables me to explore romance. The Femdom is quite hard sometimes. Never say never, darling! I’ve written F/m, F+/m, F/f, M/f, TG and in the middle of F/m tg!

Question: Which of your stories is your personal favorite, the one you enjoyed writing the most, and/or the one holds the best memories or feelings for you?

Carmenica Diaz: The novel Avenging Annie is a favourite (romantic TG) while the Star Society Series (four novels) is my FemDom fave.

Question: Have you ever gotten so turned on while writing that you had to stop to masturbate? What story was it?

Carmenica Diaz: Sorry, no. Doesn’t happen to me.

Question: Do you write from fantasy or true stories or a combination of both? Please explain or give an example.

Carmenica Diaz: Combination, although sometimes, the fantasy then becomes reality as we try some things out! The novel The Submissive Husband, for example, certainly has some autobiographical elements.

Question: Are the characters in your story based on real people, did you make them up, or are they a combination of both?

Carmenica Diaz: Observation of some things from people I meet but usually the characters are figments of my overworked imagination

Question: What parts of "Yourself" do you put into your characters?

Carmenica Diaz: Every author puts some of themselves in the stories but my protagonists are usually male. There are elements of me in the F/f books (The Humiliation of Claudia etc)

Question: How long does it take for you to write a complete story? How does the process go?

Carmenica Diaz: A short story is written in one sitting and I leave it to “cook” for a few weeks before revising. It is then sent, along with other work to my editors for polishing. A novel takes a month or two. I am lucky as I can write several books at the one time and not become confused. I have begun accepting commissions (readers pay me to write a certain type of book) and that is a little more difficult as the ideas are not completely my own and must follow the desires of the commissioning person.

Question: How do you come up with your story titles?

Carmenica Diaz: The title is usually the first step in creating a book. It motivates me to finish the story. Avenging Annie is based on a song, Birthday Boy just came to me. Doesn’t pay to question the muse, I fear.

Question: What is the hardest part of writing a story?

Carmenica Diaz: Absolutely despise editing. Luckily, have some devoted readers (subbies) who do it for me.

Question: Have you ever done research for a part of a story you didn’t have any knowledge about or maybe for a sex scene?

Carmenica Diaz: Of course but that is why I have a husband! *smile*

Question: Do you have any secret stories you don’t want to publish for the public? Do you publish your stories on other sites besides EroticStories.com and if so, why? Have you ever been published on paper?

Carmenica Diaz: My novels are published at CafeBoudoir.com and I sell rather a lot. Some of my books are available through bookstores in England and on Amazon but that is only one compilation called The Best of Carmenica Diaz. I have to tell you, it’s no longer the best as I have published so much since that edition was published. I publish occasional short stores on EroticStories.com and on other sites but rarely. As said previously, am rather prolific so there are some stories I wrote (yes completed) and decided not to publish as they weren’t good enough.

Question: When you receive negative comments do you just ignore them, build from them, or let it put a negative image over the story itself, and let it hinder your writing?

Carmenica Diaz: I find them rather funny, although I have never received a negative comments from readers at this site. On another site, I received many abusive emails about my perceived disregard for men. It was extremely funny and so wrong as quite enjoy men ­ just on my terms. I see nothing wrong with that at all. *smile* Back to the question, I usually ignore the rabid ones but try to reply to all feedback, positive or negative ­ it’s just polite. The comments do not affect my writing at all but the nice ones leave me feeling good which is always nice.

Reading Habits:

Question: Do you also enjoy reading erotic stories? Which categories do you enjoy the most? Do you like true stories or fantasies?

Carmenica Diaz: : I very rarely read other stories. One does not wish to be accused of plagiarism.

Question: Do you vote on other author's stories? How do you decide what score to give when you do?

Carmenica Diaz: No, afraid I’m absolutely hopeless on deciding what is good or not, although I am a stickler for spelling and punctuation.

Question: When you read a story do you: A. Touch yourself and come around the same time one of the characters do? B. Touch yourself but wait for the end to come? C. Touch yourself but wait until after you finish the story to come, such as after going to bed? D. Not touch yourself until you are finished and then continue thinking about the story and come? E. Any other variation you may do? (Please tell us what it is)

Carmenica Diaz: This question put me into a fit of giggles! No, don’t do any. Certainly enjoy masturbation but much prefer it as a little teasing game.

Sex Habits:

Question: Do you enjoy the visual side of erotica, as in porn movies or pictures? If so, do you have any favorites?

Carmenica Diaz: Wasn’t that visual, although I am changing. Recently collaborated with an artists on two graphic novels (adult comics) and that was rewarding, seeing my words come alive was exciting.

Question: Do you remember the first pornography you ever saw? Tell us about it?

Carmenica Diaz: Read Lady Chatterley’s Lover and The Story of O in boarding school. That was the first sexy stuff I read.
