PMPKTY INTERVIEW

You were last interviewed back in November 2008. Can you catch us up on what you have been doing since then?

Well since then I've been dating and dumped pretty badly. I lost all inspiration to write and posted the last of the stories I'd finished. I was doing really bad and then one drunken night at a bar this awesome guy licked the salt off my hand then had his shot and I felt like I was floating. I thought it was from all the beers but he was just really hot and we've been involved since. I also turn 25 in April so I'm planning a half way to 50 birthday party.

Tell us about any favorite new stories, anything else you have published, anything else you'd like to talk about.

I'm actually working on a few stories right now. I can't work on just one thing at a time because I will go nuts with all the focus on one project. I currently have three going on that I hope people will love. I don't know when they will be posted but I cant wait until they are done. I recently just posted My Navy Guy. The guy I'm seeing is in the Navy and was the inspiration for my story.

You answered a lot of these questions in your last interview, but for people who've not read it... or in case any of your thoughts on the subject have changed, I'd like to ask a few of them again. Beginning with, who is Pmpkty?

I am a young black woman who has been described as being a free spirit. I don't know if I agree or not but I know I like to live. I work in IT and love to take things apart and put them back together again. I live in Florida and as crazy as it sounds I find hurricane season exciting. I'm turning 25 this year and I'm getting my 4th tattoo for my birthday. I like to be happy and make people laugh.

Do you write other kinds of stories... ie - non erotic? If "yes", please tell us about them; if "no" please explain why not.

I do write other stories. I wrote a short story for my nephew around Christmas time which inspired a more erotic story which I'm currently doing. I write little tales for my soon to be 4 yr old nephew about monkeys and the beach. I've done a bed time story featuring a prince named after him.

What is it about writing erotica that you most enjoy?

Being able to say what I want and usually not be judged. People who read what I write don't have to know me or say anything if they don't want to. I can express myself and say what I want to say. I can talk about sex and not be looked at as if I'm a slut.

Do you write from experience or fantasy? Or maybe a combination of the two?

I put a lot of me into the story. A lot of it is from personal experience but a good deal of it is fantasy. I would have to say it's a combination of both. Although sometimes I will just be watching something on TV or a friend will say something then an idea will pop into my head and I lock myself away until I get it all out.

Is there anything you have written into a story that you would really like to try in "real life", but haven't yet been able to?

There are things I've written about that I do want to try but I haven't posted them and I'm not sure if I will. There are some things I want to try that I haven't written about as well.

Does your partner or any of your friends know that you write? What do they think?

The guy I'm seeing does know that I write. It came out accidently, he asked what I was up to and said oh just sitting here writing. By the time I realized what I said he asked about what I was writing. Besides him only one of my friends knows that I write and they both think it's cool.

How about in more general terms - how do you feel about the "outside world's perception of erotic writing?

I think a lot of people classify it as the romance novels that use to come out way back when. I think the stories have changed a little bit and aren't about the high class maiden and the lowly working boy. I think erotica is more real and people still think of it as the romance novels that our grandmothers once read. I know some people open to it and others not so much.

One thing that I love about ES is that you very quickly build up a community of fans, who enjoy writing to and hearing from their favorite authors. Without naming names, do you have any favorite topics that have surfaced in these "conversations"?

I like to check out the forums. There are lots of cool topics bouncing around on there. Some are old and are brought back to the present and some are new and they make me laugh. One thing I do find interesting is when someone send me feed back and they share part of their story. I like to hear about other people. The down side is a lot of people think you only have sex on your mind.

How do you feel when you receive negative comments or very low votes from readers?

At first I had a hard time with the negative comments and low votes and then I realized, hey it's their opinion. It still hurts when you get a bunch of 10's and then suddenly someone gives you a 4. That has happened to me quite a bit and it is discouraging but I have to think all of these people loved it but this one didn't. The good usually out weighs the bad. I do wish sometimes when someone gives me a 4 that they tell me why.

What categories do most of your stories appear in - and is there a particular reason for this?

Most of my stories are split between one on one and interracial. I do have a preference for white men, but I will date any race. I just think it's sexy seeing the difference in skin colors and when I read about it, it's a little exciting.

And do you read, and respond to, other writers on the site? Who are your favorites?

I haven't read much lately, but I do like to read other stories on the site. I have some favs mentioned in the last interview and I would have to say they are still my favorites. I haven't as much time online as I would like lately so I've been sticking more to books because they are more portable.

Have you ever been filmed or photographed having sex?

Yes I have. It was a few years ago actually. I was with this really yummy guy at the time and he asked to video tape it. After a lot of convincing I said yes. That was also the first time I tried anal. I remember him being so gentle with me during that part. After we watched the video we both got really horny again so we had sex again with me bent over the arm of the sofa.

Do you remember the first pornography you ever saw?

Yes I do. I was 10 and I got home early from school and I walked in the front door to my dad changing the channel really fast. I noted the channel and went back the next time I was home alone. I saw oral sex for the first time and was amazed that someone could fit so much in their mouth.

What's the kinkiest thing you have ever done?

I don't think I'm really kinky at all. I do have some public fantasies but I think the kinkiest thing would be sex on the side of a Target store, still clothed.

Do you have any fantasies that you would like to fulfill?

Yes, I have a train fantasy. I would like to have sex on a train but it would have to be overnight because I'm not bold enough to try it during the day.

What is a major turn on for you during sex?

Little kisses everywhere make me shiver and I love it. Depending on the mood soft caresses are always nice and other times pulling my hair can work too. I like feeling free to try what I want during sex.

How about a major turn off?

When a guy thinks he can use the same techniques on me as every other woman and think it works. I've heard the phrase, but my last girlfriend loved when I did that. Then I have to hurt feelings by saying well I'm not your ex and dammit I don't like it.

Do you explore these feelings, positive and negative in your stories?

I'm sorry, but due to pending litigation I can't comment at this time lol. I really don't do so well with talking about my feelings so I write.

How long does it take for you to write a story? Could you talk us through the process?

I once wrote a story in three hours and it's one of my favorite stories, The Older Gentleman. Someone asked me to write a story about an older man and a younger woman, I waited a few days then suddenly it just came to me and I started writing. Three hours later I was done and posting it. In other cases it may take me some days or possibly weeks. I don't really have a process. I've been really stumped lately so it's taken almost a year to post something.

Right now, your story "My Navy Guy" has an average vote of 9.73 - your most popular tale yet. Do you agree that it's your best yet - and what do you think it is about the story that so many people have fallen in love with?

My favorite story I think was Davin because it showed so much of me, full of attitude and possibly violent if need be lol. I really do like my newest addition because it's so real to me. I've met a nice guy who is in the navy and I'm falling completely for it sometimes feels like I'm floating and the story came to me and I like it a lot.

I think people like it because it's something real. Sure people hear about things but some don't really know

I think this is a loaded question for me, because I do have such a thing but I prefer to keep it anonymous. I don't want people to know how crazy I really am lol. Other than that I do have a Facebook like most people.
