Q. You answered some of these questions last time, but for the benefit of new readers, how and when did you begin writing erotic stories?

I wrote my first erotic stories when I was about fifteen years old. I went through my parents' stuff, as I suspect a lot of other people do, and found their porn stash at the back of the bedroom closet. There was this old green travel back with some videotapes in it and a bunch of those old Greenleaf adult paperbacks. I specifically remember one of the videos was Taboo.

As long as they involve consenting parties they're fine. Anyway, that exposed me to "dirty stories" and I wrote a couple about fantasies I had. Of course those fantasies were based on very little practical experience. I know a couple of those stories were writing about this cute, dark-haired girl who lived up the street. Later, I wrote some stories for girlfriends, based on their fantasies, and that led to me writing other stories from my imagination. I think I started publishing online sometime in the mid 90's.

Q. Have you published anywhere other than ES.com?

I post all my stories at my own website, Jake's Wonderland, and I also post them at Literotica.com and Storiesonline.net. I also publish longer works as ebooks through Renaissance Sizzler Editions.

Q. I'm sure readers have their own vision of who you are - how much of yourself do you include in your stories?

My stories are born of what turns me on and what I find interesting, so that part of me is always there. Every once in a while a character might be more based on me, but of course those guys are more handsome and in better shape.

Q. Do you write other kinds of stories... ie - non erotic?

I used to write some science fiction short stories and have taken a crack at some mysteries, but I haven't written anything non-erotic in years.

Q. What is it about writing erotica that you most enjoy?

I like to put my fantasies down on the page and see them played out and developed and I like to tell a compelling story. I also enjoy the feedback and knowing that I can turn on someone else.

Q. You mentioned before that most of your stories are based on fantasy. Is that still the case?

As opposed to things I've actually done? Yes, most are wholly fiction now. I wouldn't say they are all fantasies, per se. Sometimes I get an idea for a good story, but that doesn't mean it's a specific fantasy of mine. I've written plenty of stuff that I wouldn't say I'd do or have fantasized about doing myself. When I have an interesting sexual experience, though, it finds its way into a story. The last thing I wrote based on a true experience was probably "Holly's First Kiss."

Q. On that subject, is there anything you have written into a story that you would really like to try in "real life", but haven't yet been able to?

Maybe some of the sex in public places stuff, although I have gotten into a changing room at a department store. And I wouldn't mind visiting a swingers club again with the right partner, but I've been very lucky in that I've gotten to test drive most of my fantasies.

Q. Does your partner or any of your friends know that you write? What do they think?

Some of my friends know that I write erotica, but as far as I know most of them don't read it. I have a friend whose husband is a big fan. If you're going to expose that sort of thing you need to be prepared for people's reactions and that they might think of you differently. I'm single, so there is no partner (cute females, feel free to email me :) ), but when I've exposed my writing to people I've dated it mostly has not been positive. I did not even tell the last person I dated because I knew she couldn't handle it. Mostly, I find women are intimidated by it or they think it makes me some kind of deviant. One woman I dated started out thinking it was cool, but couldn't bring herself to read any of my stories, and then I know it bothered her. It's a big question for me of when I should tell someone about my writing.

Q. How about in more general terms - how do you feel about the "outside world"'s perception of erotic writing?

People, especially here in America, are such hypocrites when it comes to sexuality. Sure, porn has been more mainstreamed, but it's still something many people will not admit to consuming and they feel they have to "tsk tsk" it in public. But porn is a huge industry, so a lot of people are obviously using it. Almost everyone has fantasies, some of them really hot and some of them dark, I just happen to have some writing talent and I put them down on paper. I think people who claim to have no sexual fantasies are either lying or boring.

Q. One thing that I love about ES is that you very quickly build up a community of fans, who enjoy writing to and hearing from their favorite authors. Without naming names, do you have any favorite topics that have surfaced in these "conversations"?

I really enjoy it when someone tells me that reading my stories has opened up their wife to trying something new in bed, or that a story takes them back to a particular time in their life. If your work is evoking a reaction like that then you've transcended mere masturbation material. Not that there's anything wrong with masturbation material.

Q. How do you feel when you receive negative comments or very low votes from readers?

If it's a low vote I'd like to know why, and a reason beyond "you suck" or "the slut should have been killed." Listen, if you think my plot sucked or I am a shitty writer, that's fine, I can accept that. I'd still like to know specifically why. Now there is a group of people that will reading a cheating wife story, or a threesome story, and then write the most vile things because they don't like the subject and they don't like that the woman wasn't punished in the end. I mostly write stories with happy endings.

I don't usually write stories about women or men just going out and destroying their marriages or getting AIDS or things of that nature. My typical "cheating wife" story is about some version of an open marriage situation, or a guy who's turned on by the idea of his wife with other men. Those men exist. And they are not all emasculated pussies. If you know you hate "cheating wife" stories, then why read them. I don't need your vile comments because you hate the genre. For example, if you don't like superhero movies, don't go see one!

Q. What categories do most of your stories appear in - and is there a particular reason for this?

It seems most of my stories fall into the threesome/group and slut wife/adultery categories. I think it's because danger and the forbidden turn me on in fantasy and those types of stories inherently have that. A couple opens their marriage and there's the risk things could go haywire. It's forbidden and "wrong" to sleep with someone other than your spouse, so that thrill of doing something wrong adds tension and makes the story hotter.

I don't find most romantic stories between happy couples that interesting, but that's just me. I also don't read or write stories of established open couples. I want the excitement of that first time and I want to know why they're doing it and what led them to that point. The novel I'm working on now is about a couple that experiments with opening their marriage. I also believe that most "normal" people are capable of doing things they would have never guessed in the right situation. And I love stories of "proper" women losing control. It's that male fantasy that every woman has a secret inner slut, I guess.

Q. And do you read, and respond to, other writers on the site? Who are your favorites?

I read other stories very selectively. DamonX is a writer I've enjoyed for a long time, although I'm not totally on board with his current anal obsession. Thesandman is very talented. I loved JenniferO's early stories. I enjoy early StormBringer, The Rake, Alden Bradley, Charm Brights, Kyrie. Xleglover is a writer I really enjoy over at Literotica, which is funny because he basically writes the same wife watching story with the same characters over and over again, just in slight different situations, but I love it. And I don't mean it's a series, it's the same basic plot over and over. I do not comment or vote as much as I should because I print out stories to read them.

Q. Have you ever been filmed or photographed having sex? Tell us about that.

Back in college I made a video with a girlfriend. She looked awesome, I looked like a wounded manatee. I would do it again, but definitely try to get more of the girl in the frame than me. I have taken naked pictures of several girlfriends, though, which is always hot.

Q. Something you said last time that sticks with me (because I wholeheartedly agree with it) is, "I do love watching a pretty girl give oral." What is it about that, do you think, that is just so damned exciting?

I think because there's still something slightly dirty about a girl giving oral, and maybe submissive, in my mind, so seeing a really pretty girl doing it is hot because she doesn't have to. But she's got to be really into it, or make it seem that way. A perfunctory blowjob is boring and most porn blowjobs are boring.

Q. Should she spit or swallow at the end?

Definitely swallow, or get it somewhere on her body. Spitting isn't hot.

Q. What's the kinkiest thing you have ever done?

That's in the eye of the beholder, isn't it? Probably when a friend and I invented a game called Wheel of Orgasm and then played it with my blindfolded girlfriend. Basically, the guys spun this thing that had different things she either had to do, or have done to her, while she was blindfolded. Some of them were also "double-plays." The idea was that she would never know what was coming next, and might not even be sure who was doing what to her. Check out the story I wrote. It's about 90% true.

Q. What is a major turn on for you during sex?

I don't like being passive, so it's the doing things to her that turn me on the most. Kissing, licking, sucking, touching. I am a breast man, so I love teasing them, but only if she's sensitive there. I like being lightly touched and I like when the girl is on top, because I like to watch. Love lingerie on her too.

Q. How about a major turn off?

If she's unexpressive. Last woman I was with really just laid there. Ugly underwear is a turn off, bad grooming and hygiene.

Q. Do you explore these feelings, positive and negative in your stories?

Absolutely. Anyone familiar with my writing knows that I describe the women's clothing and foreplay in fine detail. I'd provide pictures if I could! I know some writers prefer less physical detail because they want the reader to be able to insert themselves. I don't feel that way. I see a story on a movie screen in my mind and I describe what I see. I want you to see what I see. I'll confess that Liz in my recent story "The Dance Teacher" is based on a local newswoman I find attractive. The female lead in a MILF story I recently wrote is physically based on Martha MacCallum from FOX News.

Q. Right now, your story "An Unforgettable Weekend"is probably your most popular publication on the site. Do you agree that it's your best yet - and do you have any thoughts about why it's so popular?

"Truth or Treat" is probably the most popular story I've written, based on votes, reads, and comments I've received. I think that has all the danger of a couple opening their marriage and the conflict of a woman who finds herself attracted to a man she's always disliked. It's sort of the perfect example of the type of story I personally love. I think "An Unforrgettable Weekend" is so popular because people are turned on by two attractive female getting it on and again by someone being seduced into something they've never done before. "Anna's Surrender" is rated right up there too and I've found that submission stories are always popular.

Q. Is there anything else you would like to say to the readers of this interview and your fans? Now is your chance...

I'd just like to say thank you to all the fans who have supported me over the years, especially the ones who buy my ebooks and pay money to read my work. Knowing that people care about what I have to say keeps me writing.
