Anna walked into the now all too familiar office.

She sighed as she surveyed the office; he really was the most unorganised man that she had ever met. She enjoyed her job. She just wished that her boss were more appreciative of her skills. He really had no idea what the difference between the in and out tray was. It was a miracle that he ever got to court, let alone won the odd case or two. She had been with him a long time now. She knew that any hopes of ever changing his working habits were a dream but still she persisted in trying. She would often wonder, as she went round the office clearing up his mess, if he were like this at home. Somehow she doubted it. Having met his wife a few times, she really didn’t seem the type to spend her life picking up his mess. More the type that would be busy having her hair coiffed or her nails manicured. Maybe he just used the office as a place to relax and indulge the less organised side of his life. Still she was happy with her job. He had never been a demanding boss.

He was just an all round regular nice guy really. However, she had always suspected he had a deeper side to him. In all the time that she had worked for him it had not shown itself in any tangible light, but she was sure it was there. Her instincts weren’t often wrong about people.
