Kay wept, silently, into the bed of straw that protected her slightly from the cold stone floor of your small cell.

It had been two weeks since she had been brought to this place, taken away from her normal life, to begin service as a slave, it had been a long two weeks.

That first day, when she had entered the castle, she had been stripped and placed in a cold stone courtyard, empty except for a small trough running along the length, and a large wooden pole embedded into the centre of the open space.
