By the time I turned 19, my life was headed in the general direction I had been hoping for ever since could remember. I, Scott Reynolds, was a student enrolled in college at the University of Nebraska, which is also my homestate. I had always wanted to be a 'Husker ever since I was a boy and my dream was to play football for the University. That dream, though, was never realized as I was hurt playing football in my senior year of high school. I had hoped if I had gotten a scholarship to play that would have been my ticket to a great life. Instead, I took out a few student loans as well as borrowed money from my folks and even had a part time job on the weekends selling shoes.

My classes were going well and I even maintained a B+ average which far exceeded my expectations of myself and what I could accomplish. I decided on majoring in business and finance and in my free time I listened to my music, hung out with my friends and surfed the internet. Time gradually passed by: minutes into hours..hours into days..days into weeks and weeks into months. Everyone of my friends had made plans for spring break and to go to south padre island in Texas for a little rest and relaxation. I had wanted to do much the same and spend time soaking up the sun and playing but my plans were halted from a call from my dad. Apparently he wanted me to come back to Omaha and housesit ...
