Summer loves are always fleeting, passionate relationships that come and go as quickly as the tides. At least, that was Jeremy's opinion to himself as he sat in an old rusty chair watching the Atlantic Ocean lap up to his feet. And because they were so empty and useless, he knew that there was no reason bothering to get involved in one. At least, that's what he thought.

Jeremy was going into his junior year at State and was loving life at the time. His parents had agreed to let him live at their beach house for the summer, but only IF he got a job and worked. Well, he loop-holed them and had a job...that he worked once a week for four hours. But what the hell were they going to do, order him to come home and/or get a real job? That's bullshit, he thought, they enjoy having me out of their hair.

So the other 164 hours a week he spent lounging, relaxing, sleeping, chilling, or loafing on the beach or in the house, essentially enjoying life. And enjoying checking out the females everywhere, but not even bothering to talk to them because he knew they'd be gone within the week.

So as he sat there one Tuesday, reading his book and reflecting on the meaninglessness of summer flings, is naturally when she appeared. ...
