One day, I was sitting around reading the newspaper while Sandra was in the other room, tutoring a friend of hers from high school. I was looking through my paper, trying to find anything good, but all I could find was some crap about some kind of protest in a harbor. There was nothing worth reading. I rolled the paper up, threw it into the recycle bin. Just as I was about to switch on the TV, I heard the intercom in our house turn on.

The sound that was coming through was Sandra and her friend Amanda talking. It seems like the conversation had been going for some time already and Sandra decided to turn the intercom on so I could hear. I'm not sure how she did it without her friend noticing.
