A campus interview ,a management degree from one of the premier business schools had landed me a job in a pharmaceutical company. The CEO himself had done the final interview and the package offered was generous to say the least. But it involved moving to a new city and not knowing the accomodation situation I was hesitant for a while. When Company accomodation was thrown in as the final sweetener , I accepted . We shook hands and agreed on a date for joining. I was lucky to get such a good package. Though I was a bit sad about moving away from Bangalore , leaving my family and friends, I quickly reconciled myself about moving to Hyderabad , which wasn't all that far away. I had not visited Hyderabad before and I was eager to get to know it better. I was received at the train station and taken to a well appointed flat on the fifth floor of an apartment building , not far from the station. It was well appointed and luxurious. It had three bedrooms and was fully furnished . I whistled to myself at the sumptuosness of the place. If the company could afford such kind of accomodation for its employees , i was finally sure that i would have no regrets taking up the job. It was much later that i came to find out that the apartment was the CEO's and that he had one or two other apartment's in the city . I settled down into my job and soon enough i was completely immersed in it. Two months went by and i had seen nothing of Hyderabad except the various offices of the Company I was working for and the inside of my home. I was quite busy and enjoying the new challenges being thrown up. One day , rushing to a meeting , not looking where I was going as I was reading the papers in my hand , I collided with someone and heard a gasp. ...
