I shuffled into class 10 minutes late to find the class had been canceled; I set my books down on the desk closest to the door and read the note on the chalk board out loud to myself.

I sat down at the desk my books were on and began to write down a memo to pick up the review sheet and read in the book. I heard the door open behind me and turn and look, its Jules, the girl that sat in front of me in class, sometimes we would shoot the shit before one of the long winded lectures DR. Jonnes would give on Wednesdays.

"You've got to be kidding me!" Jules shouts

"Yeah tell me about it" I responded

"This is the worst possible timing for me; I just missed my ride back home, because I can't miss anymore of this class"

Jules picked up her cell phone, and pushed her black hair away from here ear, I started to leave when she loudly called out "Hey! Mike!"
