My name is Eric and I was spending the entire summer working at the local workshop. All my friends had started studying at college but I was kind of school-sick and decided to work for a year after graduating from high school. During this summer all my friends were free and it kind of made me a bit jealous, but on the other hand, I was the one with most money to spend.

This summer night was feeling kind of special, it was a party mood in the air. All of my friends had decided to go and have a great party. Unfortunately I had to work the late shift at the shop so I had declined to go. After the seemingly endless hours working at the shop I decided to take my bike out for a spin. I still lived at my parents house and after finishing work I took my old VW back to the house to get my bike. On the way home I saw plenty of young people on the way down to the town center, it seemed that everyone was set for partying. The air flowing through the windows of my little car was pleasantly warm, and I could smell BBQ:s and newly hewn grass in the wind. I reached our driveway and parked my car and got out.
