JAN'S AFFAIR

It all began because I was too angry, too frustrated to go to sleep that Friday night. Todd had called and told me that he had to stay away for another few weeks, the deal was proceeding slowly: it was the culture, too many people had to be persuaded, nobody could lose face.

His company had sent him there and they would not allow me to join him: no spouses allowed, not safe for families. Liability and so on. So, Todd and I had been apart for over two months now. I missed him. We had been married for one year when he left. We had know each other only for about a year before that.

On that grey November evening, I felt particularly down and depressed. I went to the kitchen and got out a bottle. I took it to the bedroom and opened the drawer where I kept my dildos, which had gotten quite a workout lately. Then I thought better of it: it would not do me any good to get drunk and masturbate.
