Helen's Helping Hands.

Will had a terrible accident, and his wife, Phillippa, drove to the hospital fearing the worst. Fortunately, Will was a sensible guy, and had been wearing his seatbelt, so most of his injuries were cuts and bruises, but he did break one leg and arm though. All told, he was a very lucky man, and the state of his car told the story. Another car had pulled out of a side road as he past it, and the collision caused his car to spin, flip over, and end up rolling three times before landing in a ditch. Even the police, used to these accidents, were surprised to find him concious, let alone with as few injuries as he had. Had the ambulance not arrived so soon after, he would have gladly have gotten out of the car unaided, and hobbled to the kerb for a cigarette.

Finding her husband concious, Phillippa's immediate panic settled somewhat, and she sat with Will,as doctors and nurses filed through his room, all equally surprised at his miraculous escape. A familiar voice came from behind Phillippa, and she turned to find one of her best friends, Helen, standing there. Phillippa had forgotten that she worked there, and stood to hug her friend, relieved that at least she would have a friend in the hospital while he recovered. Helen told her that she had been scheduled to look after Will on her evening shifts, and would take good care of him. Will was also happy to see her, as he had always fancied Helen, and at last he would finally get a chance to chat ...
