In chapter 1, I described the setting up of the group, I would now like to describe some of the bookings we were privileged to partake in.

After we had been with Anne for a month or so, the first opportunity to break away on our own materialised. It was at the end of an explicit show that the organiser of the show approached me and asked who was the leader of our group. I told her that it was a joint effort but as Guy was trusted as our treasurer, I supposed that he was our spokesman. She said that she would like to have a word with us at an early opportunity to discuss a deal that could be to our advantage. She said that she did not want to be seen discussing it, by Anne, but that she was rather put out with the increase in the fees Anne had been charging. I said that I would talk to Guy and if she could give me her number we would get in touch with her. She slipped a piece of paper into my hand and moved away from us.

On our way back to the office, Anne asked us what Lilly had been talking about. I said that she had been complimenting me on our show. And left it at that. When we arrived at the office we were given our envelopes and asked to ring again in a week for more bookings. This was the longest break between bookings so far.
