Most weeks flew by for Paul. He liked his work, much of the time, and it absorbed him nearly always. But his adventure of last Sunday had left him slightly off all week, waiting anxiously for his promised biking date with Angela. Even Saturday, normally his favorite day, when he got to run errands, hang around with his wife and kids, maybe go to the movies--Saturday dragged painfully along, his mind filled with dreams of Sunday.

He slept badly on Saturday night, anxious for the clock radio to wake him for his Sunday morning bike ride. After dressing in one of his sharper biking outfits, he headed out on his usual route, diverging from it quickly to locate the house where he had followed Melissa a week earlier. Would it really be there? Would there really be two lovely college girls there? And would one of them be ready to bike with him that morning, toward--he hardly dared to guess what?

It was there. And, standing beside an aluminum frame road bike, there stood Angela, tall, slim, and gorgeous, her long blond hair pulled back into a ponytail to fit under her biking helmet. She wore the usual Spandex biking shorts, a snug pale green biking jersey--to match her eyes, he decided--and rather nice Shimano biking shoes. She looked like she had probably spent more than a few hours on a bike.

"Ready to go?" she said to him without any chitchat. "Is Melissa joining us?" he asked hopefully. "Nope. She's still got to finish her ...
