I awake, the cool damp sheet clinging to my body. I am disoriented and not fulyl aware of my surroundings. I feel a strong arm around my waist and a muscled chest against my back. I am strangely not alarmed, only confused because this is not the soft form I know as my husbands body. I lift the sheet to peer at the arm encircling me. In the dim morning light I am struck with how dark the arm is in comparison to my pale skin.

The mist of confusion and sleep lifts as I recall yesterday and remember I am in the arms of my gorgeous new neighbor, Jamal.
