The memory of the previous evening's "study session" caused Sean to smile pleasantly. It was hard finding anything to smile about during parent-teacher conferences. He looked at the next name on his list and was surprised to see Alicia Montgomery was the next parent. Alicia had been very active with the school ever since her daughter began here four years before. However Sean had only met her once in passing. He was interested in seeing how the mother compared to the daughter. When Alicia walked in the comparison became obvious. Where Elayne had the beauty of a young woman, Alicia had that beauty matured. Sean felt himself hardening at the sight of that body.

Throughout his discussion with Alicia he was distracted by thoughts of the previous evening. When Alicia asked how her daughter was doing, he responded, "She does very well." You simply must come to dinner one of these nights. So that we can get to know you better."
