"David", shouted Dad, "come on or they'll be closed", his voice travelling up the stairs to my room, as I struggled to put on my clothes, still half asleep, not caring where we were going.

I suppose I'd better give you the background. My family is in the process of moving house, the first move in 20 years. The last time they moved I was only two years old, so I don't remember any of the experience, save what my parents told me, saying that it was a stressful time. Well now that I am old enough to get deeply involved with the whole affair, I'm beggining to see why.

We'd all been talking about moving for a while. The house we lived in no longer served our needs, it was old and tiny and quite frankly we were all getting sick of looking at the same walls day in, day out. Both myself and my sister are grown up. I'm 21 and have been at university for the past 3 years, and my sister is 18, and is only starting. I have a younger brother as well, who is 12. With that in mind, we need to move now,to prepare for the future when we have families of our own, as our current house will be too tiny.

So having made the decision to move, that was the easy part. Next came ...
