I couldn't sleep the entire night before. I just returned home from college abroad and was finally going to see my family and friends for the first time since I had left for school. This was the sacrifice I had made when I decided that the offer to go to art school in Europe was one I couldn't refuse. It had been especially tough on my girlfriend, Jessie. We had started seeing each other as high school sophomores, and she was the first woman that I had made love to. We were in love and couldn't keep our hands off of each other.
