"I miss you honey," Alexa said with a sigh.

"I miss you too," Caleb replied, with an equally heavy sigh.

Just days after the encounter that went all wrong with Caleb's parents, Alexa found herself curled up on the couch, in a ratty old t-shirt and sweat pants, wishing more than anything in the world she could travel through phone lines. Caleb's boss had sent him on a two-week business trip out west, to visit old clients, and hopefully gain some new clients for their advertising business. She didn't care that he had to go, she didn't want to be understanding, she wanted to be selfish...she wanted Caleb here.

"So when are you coming back again?" she asked finally. She could almost hear him smile over the phone.

"You mean you forgot me telling you five minutes ago? And two minutes before that? And three before that?" he asked.

"I know, I know, I'm probably sounding like an over bearing, needy freak, aren't I?"

"Nope, personally, I think it's cute. I'm coming into JFK at 2:30, in 3 days. I have to go see my boss right away after landing, then I'm all yours." ...
