The watcher leant over the fencing to peer into the house. He was not a large man although getting on a bit in years. He was gaining a bit of weight and his fitness level had dropped somewhat over the years.

He was looking into a kitchen watching a young woman at work. She seemed familiar. It seemed he had the right house. His luck was in or so he thought when, suddenly, he heard the crunching of gravel and the sound of feet coming closer.

The watcher felt trapped, where could he go... he saw an opening into the garden next door and crouching low, crawled through to the other side, grazing himself on the unruly bushes and thorns that met him. At least he was safe.

The sound of feet on gravel disappeared and the creaking of a door opening and banging shut could be heard. The watcher had not been seen.

The garden was a mess. Very unkempt and ugly... whoever lived here did not appreciate it The watcher decided as he straightened up from his low position. He decided to take a peak in the window nearest to him ... and could not believe his little piggy eyes.
