This is a true story. The names are fictional. My first time writing. please give feedback.

I was 19 years old when I started working at a local clothing department store. I was still going to college fulltime and I needed some extra cash for he Holidays so I decided to apply for a cashier position for my winter break from school. I went through the whole interview process and got hired. My first couple of weeks went by uneventfully. I was not very friendly to any of my co-workers. I just saw this as an easy way to make money, and for many people this was a career. I will be honest, I saw myself as too good to be making friends with anyone here.

About two weeks after being hired, I started getting more hours. I would work from 4pm till closing, which sometimes would be till 1am. No one could leave until the store was looking presentable for business the next day. Anyways, it was a Friday night when my life changed forever. It was a busy Friday night, and I was working like usual, quiet, not talking much. I was checking our customers when I felt an arm on my back.

"You don't talk much do you," she said.
