The Proposal

After a long, hard day at work, I want nothing more than to come home, sit on the couch, and vegetate. My boyfriend, Michael, is away on another concert tour with his band. Oh the woes of dating a rock star.

I got out of my car, and walked up to the door, keys in hand. When I reached the door, I saw post-it notes arranged in a heart. Each one said, "I love you" or "I miss you." I nearly started crying when I saw a Polaroid of my boyfriend right in the middle.

I opened the door. A balloon was floating the entryway, and inside the balloon was a note. I popped the balloon and picked up the note.

"Take off your coat. Just throw it in the floor. Go to the living room."

Anxiously, I walked into the living room to find the whole room lit by candles of every shape, and size. All in my favorite color, pink, which Michael despises. In the center of the room, was one, large blue candle with a note propped against it.

"I love you so much. I miss you more than that. I wanna see you soon, but first, you have to find me. Go to the kitchen." ...
