The city where Dennis lived was not a small town, but it wasn't exactly N'Yawk, N'Yawk, either. So when he got the idea that he'd like to try swinging, and did a little checking around about it, he learned that there weren't any big time swingers' clubs, as he'd read about in many on-line stories, but only neighborly swingers' get-togethers, like bridge clubs, where, instead of playing cards, they had sex.

That didn't bother Dennis; he liked the notion of a friendly bunch of folks swapping partners in a cozy environment. What he didn't find so appealing was the universal requirement of his local swingers' groups that only married or otherwise committed couples were welcome. No single guys.

Not that Dennis was single; but his wife, Kelly, was not a likely candidate for swinging. She liked sex well enough, but she had very strict rules against infidelity, multiple partners, or anything she regarded as deviant, as Dennis had learned repeatedly during their ten-year marriage. He was happy being married to Kelly. He loved her a lot, in fact, and was happy making love with her. He just wanted to try something else, and she didn't. In any case, after reading enough stories about swinging, Dennis had concluded that it was risky business to get your wife involved: she might meet someone she liked better, or get turned into a call girl by a roving pimp. That wasn't what he had in mind at all.
