It was the weekend, time to relax and enjoy each other. We usually spent most weekends together. It was friday night, the end of a busy week but Jay wouldn't be over until the early hours of the morning after a night out with the boys.

I had been to a friends house for a girlie night which always included a sentimental film, pizzas and lots of delicious ice cream. Then there was the obligatory gossip of who was doing what to whom.

I quickly walked the distance of six houses to be back indoors, kicking off my shoes as i entered and placing my suede jacket on the hook in the cupboard. I was tired and headed up the stairs to bed, knowing that Jay had a key and would find his way home once the pubs were shut and the ritual of kebabs was complete.

At about 1am i felt the coldness of his body slide up against me as he shivered a little. We entwined our limbs without even thinking about it, snuggling up without opening my eyes, both drifting off to sleep.

I always woke at the same time every morning. We would set an alarm clock just in case but i always turned it off before it sounded. On Saturday morning Jay went into work at the restaurant for a few hours but didn't have to be there until 10am. Every day should be started off in the best way possible and i had my own way of making sure Jay awoke and started the day off with a smile. ...
