"Oh Shee-it!" It was dark! I sprang from the bed, searched the floor to find and wrapped my wet sticky libido in my underwear, quickly followed by pants, shirt, socks, shoes. Sandra laughed. "You must have been too busy to note the time."

I got my tie and jacket and approached the bed to say ‘goodbye'.

She lay there, all above her waist exposed in the dull light from the window, with the bit of a grin on her face. "Don't you dare say thank you." She said it such a neutral way that later, or even then, I had no idea whether she would have laughed, cried, screamed or what. I kissed her, went to leave but looked back one last time. What went on that evening at home was neither here nor there. My wife didn't really seem to care so I wondered. Supper was on the table but I ran upstairs, ostensibly to change out of ‘work clothes', but really to wash up. I joined the family ten minutes later.
