Not many people were scheduled for the night, he had always volunteered when the nights were like this, he could work alone and get many things done. Climbing to the top of the ladder wasn't his fav chore, but he did it, getting up and down as fast as he could. When he brought the ladder down, folded it up and put it away he was thankful to have that task out of the way. he set off to go outdoors and have one last cigarette, the parking lot was empty, just his truck in the back of the lot. He decided to walk to the back of the lot and bring it up front, so when it was time to go home in the morning, he wouldn't have to run thru the forecasted rain. As he walked toward the truck he could see something moving in the bed of it, he slowly approached it never knew what you would find now days. As he came up on the truck, he grinned so wide.....there she was, sitting in the bed of the truck, blanket spread out, two small candles lit and the keys in her hand.

"I was just going to pull this around front and come find you," she smiled and tossed him the keys. "You little sneak" he laughed as he hopped in the back. "whats this all about," he asked. "Well, I know you get some down time when its the night shift, so I thought I would come make the best of it for you." She smiled handed him a coke and untied his store apron. She sat and watched as he downed the coke, it was so warn for this time of year, she had just dressed in a light sundress, no stockings and just sandals. Chris laid back, the sky was pitch black all the pretimed parking lights were out now and the only light they had was the light of the two small candles. ...
