"First Officer Maura Sutton reporting for duty, sir." The voice of my new first officer shocked me back into the moment. I looked up and saw a tall human woman, about 33 or 34. She had long blond hair tied tightly behind her head, a pretty face, and largish breasts. Being a man, I did notice these things, but being her captain, I tried to not let on so she wouldn't feel uncomfortable.
