It had been one of those weeks, and all I wanted to do was get away from the city for a while, and head to my cabin in the mountains. Just as I started on my way, it began to storm and pour rain, and I wondered what else could go wrong. I moaned and then banged my fist on the steering wheel in frustration as I felt the car begin to sputter, and gradually coast to a stop. Glancing out the window, I saw no one on the highway around me, and knew from traveling this route many times that the nearest house was about a mile away, and that I had no cell phone service. I had no choice but to grab my handbag and begin walking, and an umbrella was something I didn't have.

I saw the nearest house in the distance, and walked up the sidewalk. I had no idea who lived there, but I desperately needed a phone. I knocked on the door, and waited impatiently for an answer. I was irritated, cold and wet, which was not a good combination. The door opened, and standing before me was the most amazing man I had ever seen. I must have been staring because he grinned at me as he said, "yes, how can I help you?" I explained to him that my car had broken down a little way down the road, and that I would appreciate it if I could use his phone. What I didn't tell him was that my mind was wandering to all kinds of other things I would also like to do. He stepped aside, and let me inside. "You're soaked, let me get you a towel," he said. After I had dried off a bit, he gave me the phone, and I called the nearest towing company, only to find out they were booked solid because of rain and storm-related accidents. It would be ...
