It was a Thursday afternoon; Brandon, thinking about nothing in particular, was just flipping through the channels on the TV when a knock at the door startled him out of his daze. He got up from his recliner and was very surprised when he saw his very beautiful friend, Diana. This time Brandon knew that it wasn't just a visit for fun. This time was different. This time she was crying. Brandon and Diana have known each other ever since high school and their relationship has always been a deep verbal friendship, nothing physical, although they both wanted it and neither of them would admit their feelings to each other. Brandon asked Diana, "What's the matter?" Diana relived this situation almost on a weekly basis, and Brandon always gave the same advice. With her smile and laughter of the near weekly ritual, Brandon announced that he had to go to work.
